This was always Jordan’s most sensational move to me. It does not get near the respect it deserves.

The Nets bench reaction tells you how special this move truly was

He changed the ball location 3 different times, twisted his body around 2 defenders, and had the spatial awareness to spin it off the glass perfectly. Mindboggling!

This is the best layup of all time, never seen anyone replicate this. GOAT

By far the greatest layup in NBA history hands down MJ truly was poetry in motion

His body control is like a cat plus big hands and high vertical. Perfect. Perfect.

BEST LAYUP EVER. How the hell he had the time to correct it multiple times in the air. The move might be a more important moment, that's for sure, but no other layup in history come close in dificulty and style to this one.

This layup is so 🔥it could win a slam dunk contest.

This isn't just the best layup in NBA history, it's the greatest move in NBA history. The imagination, artistry and difficulty is unmatched

Isiah Thomas had the funniest story about this move. He was on the phone with Joe Dumars talking shop while watching this game. After this play, there was silence for 5 minutes, then Thomas said to Dumars, I'll see you at work tomorrow.

Been a Jordan fan from day one, and I've always said that this lay-up was better than the "hand switch" against the Lakers. The hangtime and control was truly poetry in motion!!!

The commentators couldn’t even describe and put into words on how spectacular MJ’s layup 🔥

If anyone says the league has more athletic and skilled players nowadays, show them this clip. Never has been replicated since.

Jordan’s layup was like an deflated balloon that zigzag everywhere and hard to catch!!!! Also the zigzag layup motion was quick while floating in the air!!!! Best layup of all time!!!!

In my opinion its the greatest play by one person in NBA history going to the basket to score. I've watched basketball for at least 30 years and I'm still wowed to this day when I see it. Nothing compares to it!

When I first saw this, and had to rewind and pause and slowly unpause and replay this move just to verify what I just saw, I could not believe what had just happened. I never replayed someone's move on tape so many times in absolute awe. Truly the greatest layup I've ever seen. Jordan was a creative genius and basketball god

The angle starting at 0:38 shows you just how bonkers this move really was. To get that much launch/hangtime from that spot on the floor, maneuver your body through THREE defenders, & complete the reverse layup is completely mental. My absolute favorite move from MJ, and I've seen a ton of them.

I'm only a casual fan of the NBA but when Jordan was playing I tried to catch every chance to watch him on TV because in every game there was a chance that he would blow your mind with a move. It's the same with Tiger in golf. Federer in tennis. If you are lucky, once a lifetime you will see a genius can trescended their sports - that anyone could appreciate. Nobody else in their respective sports stirred that sort of excitement.

The most underrated move in MJ’s career. If anyone says that hangtime is not real, show them this clip.
