Once you put a more aggressive camshaft in it with long tube headers it will really bring out the sounds of the mufflers. Flowmaster 40s all the way for me. Sounded absolutely amazing on my '76 K5 with Hooker longtube headers on a mild 383 I used to have with 226/228 cam on 110 LSA, and I mean the whole neighborhood would come out thinking some nasty old school muscle car was out front only for them to see an old Blazer lol. Now i've got a LS 5.3L bone stock with stock manifold hooked up to the 40s and it still sounds good but i'm working my way to a Chopacabra, Truck Norris or maybe the SLoppy Best cam.

Thank you for getting straight to the point! I like the Borla and the Flowmaster a very close second. The Magnaflow isn't bad but it's too quiet for my tastes. I do prefer the quieter idle of the Magnaflow though.

The Borlas sound great on a small block. I run them on my 66 chevelle and 72 c10, both with 350’s. I also ran the other brands over the years and in my opinion you can’t go wrong with Borla’s when it comes to sound on a stock or mild small block.

Do you plan to try anymore mufflers? I think the Borla XR-1 would be cool.

We raced the Camaros at redwood valley race track 1/4 mile circle track with 400 ci small blocks, same motors the one with borola exhaust sounded way different, but won championships for the year and almost all the raced that year, , so I'll stay the borola exhaust is the best in the world of circle track racing

Hey would what you recommend for a 2015 Nissan Altima 2.5L 4 cyl? Looking for something with a deep and low rumble and that’s noticeably loud but not too loud at the same time. I’m stuck between Borla and Magnaflow rn.

All sound great. Magnaflow has to be paired with highflow cats and an x pipe to sound just right.
