New grips would not go on at all. Used a little brake cleaner on the handle bars and the grips went right on fine. Thanks for the video.

The one thing that I came here for.., was to find out what positions the front and rear gears need to be in and what position the gri0s need to be in to install them.

Do sram shifters work with shimano derailler?

You can also use shampoo to install the hand grips.

Shame I don’t Have any of those told, I suppose the bike shop would! You leave considerable tail on the cables why? You never use that much and with age the cable stretches, gets longer ! Why?
