People are burnt out and overwhelmed. Colorado hospitals have always run with low staffing levels so there wasn't much of a buffer. Then after 2 years of getting fly overs and branded swag instead of...PPE, help, and time off when they're sick....of course people are leaving in droves.

You can't really cheerlead people that realize they are just getting lip service instead of something tangible.

Nurses aren't staying because they we're already underpaid and overworked before the pandemic. Now they are forced by mandates and company policy that do not make them or the patients the priority. When general practitioner wont see patients because cooperate sees the $$ in getting the covid bonus and mandates they refer patents to the ER of course the ER is going to be flooded by patients. All while General practitioners are letting go of staff because they don't have enough patients. Its a nasty cycle created by greed and the people and staff at the bottom are the ones who really suffer!

Couldn't pay me to step foot into a hospital these days 😅 At this point I am thoroughly enjoying seeing these systems collapse that were designed solely to make money. They make a profit off of EVERY positive COVID test and death.. they aren't above killing us off either.
