Elizabeth. I am truly enjoying your reaction to Ron. Also everyone commenting, he truly loved you all very much . I was lucky enough to have toured with him for the last 15 years of his life and and now a board member of the Ronnie James Dio Stand up and shout cancer charity. Please always keep his music alive. Share with your children. Know that over and above all of your amazing comments he was the most amazing human being I've ever met in my life. On the road Ron taught us that nobody was more important to the show than anyone else.the only difference between him and everyone else was he was the only one that could do his job.take some time and search dio by decade.
I love you Ron you are hugely missed. Big Scott

"Every opera singer could learn from listening to Dio. A God of voice." Such an epic comment. Thank you.

I have been listening to this song for well over thirty years, and I still get goosebumps every time I hear the line, "I see a rainbow rising."

"I see a rainbow rising, up there on the horizon" - for the last 35 years literally every time I have listened to it, I get goosebumps at exactly this point, like clockwork. One of the greatest songs ever.

"He loves the juice out of each vowel." No better tribute has ever been paid to Dio. Thank you.

I had the honor... (that word doesn’t even say enough) of spending a few moments with Ronnie.. still have his number in my phone (can’t delete it). Dio was an actor, he became the song.. he put himself in role of his characters in his songs. He was a great great man. A perfectionist and some would say difficult to work with at times, but his results were second to none. The world is a lesser place without him... but he left us so many gifts. From his Ronnie and the redcaps “An Angel is Missing” where he is singing 50s style music, all the way to the power of Strange Highways with the song Jesus Mary and the Holy Ghost. Ronnie was one of a kind and i for one am absolutely fortunate enough to say he filled my childhood with joy and later... proved to me what an artist is... and to this day i can’t help but get choked up hearing the man... on the silver mountain.. he will always be.. the man.

Dio’s vocals, Ritchie’s guitar, and Cozy Powell, one of the greatest drummers ever. Could I ever ask for more?

Elizabeth is the only woman i've ever seen who beautifully transforms the joy of music to her smile. It has a magical flow. Thank you!

...I was lucky enough to work at a small record store that hosted Dio for a "Meet-n-greet" deal on the 'Magica' tour cycle. As great of a singer as RJD was, he was an even more impressive human being. He walked in and greeted my bosses who he had met ONCE - like...decades prior - "Hey, Brian! Hello Don! How is your mom doing?" It was ...unreal. He was so gracious with his time and energy - met and spoke at length with every single person who came out to the event. I have friends who were there and they all still comment about it and how ...awesome he was. After the last person had been through the line, Ronnie did a little shopping and asked what was new and good and we all told him about Opeth - he grabbed several of their albums. When he was done shopping he did something really weird - he went up to the register and wanted to PAY for all of his selections. My bosses about fell over themselves explaining "Look - this is the most business we've had in weeks - we arent taking your $ ...please!". He insisted. He then got every employees name and put us all on the guest list for the show that night. Which, was simply incredible. Being an older guy - Dio was one of the 1st shows I ever went to back on his 2nd solo album tour. This show was even better. Magical. Made all the more so simply knowing what a kind and gracious and engaging human the man was. I hope that as time goes on, his work will keep being discovered by kids everywhere. It certainly deserves to be. Love your channel. Keep up the good work!

Let's just take a moment to appreciate the collosal drumming of Cozy Powell. Brutal precision. Seamless quadruple bass and toms on the intro. Very difficult to play.

this is a very important song in metal history, bands were created just from this song.

It's good to see Ronnie finally getting the respect he deserves from the Classical community. Years from now, Universities will dedicate an entire music theory course to Dio.

RJD was Edgar Allen Poe, Pavarotti, Da Vinci, and Robin Hood rolled into 1 guy. He gave back to the fans so much in many ways. His canvas was the stage. Greatest songwriter and storyteller that ever picked up a Mic and sang. Generational. By all accounts, he was an even better human being off stage.Very generous man.
