Is Going To University WORTH IT in 2024?

Показать описание
Hello viewers, in this video I will discuss if University is worth it in 2023. You might be wondering, should I go to University? And if that is the case, you are in the right place. Is University just a waste of time?
As a fairly recent graduate myself, in this video I cover 4 topics I think are essential to be aware of before going to University so you can make the best possible decision for you. These are, Student Loans, Competition, Education v Experience and Online Learning.
Student loans are expensive, and not talked about enough. You go to University, and then suddenly you've got (on average) £45,000 of debt in the UK. This is a lot of money and definitely something to consider.
Competition is accelerating at University, over a third of high school grads went to University in 2021. This would suggest that it is now much less of a selling point to have a degree, if everyone else has got one too.
Education is becoming less rated by employers in my experience looking for jobs, and they care more about industry experience instead to show them who is a valuable employee. This makes apprenticeship schemes and base level jobs a potentially better option.
Online learning is becoming more and more available and you can pretty much learn anything you want from the comfort of your own home, for free, without using 4 years of your life. Something worth thinking about.
Hope you enjoyed everyone!
Lots of love,
