I love them because of the female has an equally loud answer to his calls. I never notice other birds doing this except for the Barred owl.

We've had a family of them build their nest on our front porch for the past 5 years now. Started the first nest was in a ceramic frog 🐸 and every year after they've built the nest in my hanging potted spider plants 🪴 they usually have 5 eggs laid each season .. we get to watch them grow every day and eventually fly off into our forest. So grateful to be able to observe nature up so close like we do. It's beyond beautiful ! ❤

Ive only seen one of these once when I was living in NJ. It was in a tree just singing its little heart out. I could have listened all day if it didn't fly away. I have yet to see one up in Maine.

I currently have a mama nesting in my garage sitting on six eggs! I went out the other day to peek in the nest and see if there was anything in it or if it was abandoned and she flew right out and started chittering, letting me know to move on and leave her eggs alone!

Another one of my favorite birds! They are cute and scrappy birds 😬. I’ve been trying to get them to nest around the house but never had any luck. I’ve been thinking about buying a slot birdhouse and putting it under the porch eve. I’ve heard they like flower pots as well anyone had success with a birdhouse?

A pair built their nest in a patio chair that is/was right next to where I sit all the time in the summer. I turned the chair a bit, so they had access even when I am out here. I see them come and go all the time, but when my dog goes out there, I get yelled at till I let her in.
