Whether she is ignorant or not, it does not matter. The company is only going to put someone out in public, who is going to say the company line. The fact is government is pushing this, and car companies have no reason to not follow the government’s line. EVs are of course very profitable.

If youre using this argument would you say I have a moral obligation to use an electric car if I live in a state that is largely renewable? (WA) ~10% is non renewable according to EIA.

She is not ignorant, she knows that in the long run an EV ends up polluting less than a conventional car

So let's close the loop. Require that electric cars can only be charged with solar or Turbine electricity. So when you have the Tesla charging station installed in your home the package comes with solar panels to power it. Doesn't that seem right?.
