For Michael Romero, I would say that we start off the problem by asking ourselves what square root will add onto 5 to equal zero. The square root of -25 is -5. Therefore -5 + 5= 0. For number 3, x=36

Would it be correct to say that √x=x^1/2 whch them means that x^1/2=-5 for number one of the last question? For number three of the last questions I found that x^1/2=6.

My question is... For 65=sqrt of 2.7r, how does 1, 564.8 ft=r work? I calculated it and got 39.6. when i plugged in 39.6 for the value of r and multiplied it by the sqrt of 2.7 i got 65.
For #3 i dont know how to get to the answer. i know what the answer is(x=35), but i just dont know how to get to it. Please help.
