Insert Tick Box Symbols In Google Docs

In this tutorial I demonstrate the extremely powerful and intuitive tool in Google Docs which not only lets you insert ticks, crosses and tick boxes into your document, but allows you to easily insert any symbol just by drawing it very roughly - no need to know which font it is, what its name is or what type of symbol category it would be in.

Drawing is a great trick for symbol searching... I did not know Google products did this! That is awesome, and very helpful. This also works in Google slides.

I would like to insert a hollow tick into a form and when the end user clicks it, it turns black inside as if to highlight a choice.

How do you insert a check box in a Google Doc? I would like to insert an empty check box which can then be checked. Please respond as all videos don't appear to show how to do this. NB: I do not want to use the check list bullet format as I would like to put the check boxes where I want on the page. Please advise....?

Very clear instructions but they did not work. All I wanted was a tick so I drew the tick shape in the panel but it refused to search for me. Eventually, I found the tick the hard way by searching through all the options.
