I save all of mine, after cracking them in half l always rinse them with tap water then put them on a folded paper towel for a day, once well dried l have a mortar & pedestal pill pulvizer that l drop them into & grind them into powder, dispense into a used coffee can. I do this year round, in the spring l mix this powder into soil for garden plants, Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, the plants love the calcium!

Just buy a bottle of Soft Scrub. I toss eggshells and coffee grounds (and tea bags) in an old cake pan in the oven. When I bake something, it desiccates everything. I process the crushed shells and coffee grounds through my old Waring blender, then add them to potting soil or use them to top-dress my tomatoes.

I grind mine up to a coarse meal and mix them into my chicken feed. It’s a great remedy for some layers that produce eggs with thin shells. It helps keep your entire flocks shells uniform in quality.

Egg shells use to be crushed and given back to the chickens so their shells for new eggs that's why they are harder to peel when they are boiled

I just grind them up and put them in the soil of plants that I want to grow better or you could put it in your garden that’s about all I would use it for. I don’t mind harsh chemicals. Soft scrub works pretty damn good.

I save, wash, dry egg shells, grind them in pestle and mortar.
I am saving them in a jar.
Perhaps I need to add coffee grounds and tea leaves into the mix?’
