Got the swine flu shot about 10yrs ago when the media hyped it up, the nurse wanted us to wait for half an hour in the waiting room after getting the shot for "observation" . I nearly died . Never again .

I stopped taking flu shots in 1972, haven't had the flu since. My father would get shots every year, darn near every year he'd get the flu. I understand the trying to curtail the possibility of an epidemic but I think the folks that continually get sick after flu shots should consider not taking them then see what happens.

What's with CBC's lengthy vaccine marketing campaign?

The British Journal of Medicine, the New England Journal of Medicine, the British Lancet did major reviews of the Flu Vaccine. They all published articles saying the Flu shot is ineffective to almost zilch.

Big pharma have a very very bad reputation, so it's no wonder that people are getting pissed off with the information coming from them and have lost a lot of trust in their advice. IMO I still think those in higher risk groups should seriously consider getting a jab or taking measures to reduce their risk of catching it (eg masks, hygiene measures). And the medical community really needs to work hard at looking more at what goes into the shot to make people less fearful of it ....
