Me and my wife just recovered from influenza A. I was vaccinated and she wasn't. I recovered at home and she recovered in hospital. Yeah, it put her into the hospital. I was still sick but my o2 levels stayed at 98%. My wife O2 level was 85% when i took her to the emergency room. I am thankful I received my flue shot.

last time I had the flue was really painful, every breath I took felt like breathing in small needles that are scratching my entire throat which happened when I was in 8th grade. Haven’t gotten the flu in 4 years for now and I haven’t taken the flu shot until now since my school now requires getting flu shots.

I was planning on getting the shot but I got the flu Oct 11th. By the 13th I knew I had to call in sick. The 14th was horrible, but I picked myself up and got to the doctor (I found out I had Flu A). She gave me Tamiflu and everyday after that was an improvement. By the 17th I was able to work but I could still feel it. By the 18th I feel alright, still have some symptoms though!

I'm from Sweden and I never had a flu shot or even heard of it until I found some clips here on youtube. No I am not an antivaxxer btw. Is there anyone else?

Flu can affect anyone. Hence, it is better to get vaccinated, especially if you have comorbidities like asthma, sinusitis, bronchitis or other respiratory problem.

My mother had the Influenza vaccine, and within 30 minutes she had a severe reaction which had eventually caused pneumonia and her losing half a lung. After an investigation by the hospital, she was told she has an egg allergy. My mother never had an egg allergy before, she had eaten eggs all her life.
Then in my 30’s I found out that if I ate more than 2 eggs per week, I would break out with hives and have new hives every day. Had an allergy test, and have an egg allergy just like my mother. No influenza shot for me either.

My dad never got the flu vaccine he hasn’t gotten sick he’s 65 my mom gets the flu vaccine and phenomena vaccine and gets sick 2 times a year.

Makes way more sense to boost immunity with vitamin D, C and a healthy, plant based diet high in antioxidants. It'd be common sense advice if public health wasn't dominated by the drug industry as it is.

You should mention it’s a multi-BILLION dollar industry and not commonly used in most of the world outside of the States. Also herd immunity only exists in stable populations with no influx from outside the group. The efficacy is never anything like 50% either. Research Del Bigtree on his YouTube channel The Highwire.
