God requires faith that following his wisdom will lead you to salvation. The truth is that by following the wisdom you get out of slavery or exile. The entire thing religious people fail to understand is that the scriptures offer you everything that your religion leads you away from.

Why does God do anything? Because he’s loving and seeks harmony (mutual benefit) in all things. Faith is part of God’s plan for a loving, saving relationship between us and him.

A deeper question is “why doesn’t God physically reveal himself?”. I think the answer to this is that in a universe with coercive evidence for God’s existence, it’s possible that less people would come into a loving, saving relationship with him which is the ideal end case scenario for everyone.

He is saying that if God demonstrates its power and existence, we could still deny Him. That makes sense, but doesn't explain why he is hiding himself, being so silent, to thw point of His existence be questionable. Okay, if he decides to show up, many people will deny Him anyway, I agree, but many people could trust Him more, as me for example 😢

The adversary is the father of all lies. So irrespective of what lies (e.g. theory of evolution or Big bang theory) we should keep on believing God's words. Don't try to debunk all their lies but keep your focus on God.

The word FAITH has 2 meanings. ONE, means, a religion, e.g. Christian, Judaism, Islam, Mormon, Buddhism. The other meaning IS, believing something WILL happen eventually.

Wait, I don't understand. Trust and faith are being presented here as the same thing. I don't know if I believe in Jesus as the Son of God (I lack faith), but I would trust him because the man seemed reasonable (I don't lack trust).

How about answering the question from a position of reason? Why did god give reason, and then not reveal himself with reason? Quoting the bible to prove the truth of the bible is laughable.

God requiring faith in us is like dropping your child off in another county and hoping he can find his way home. It makes no sense and would be a pointless lesson. Faith is only a word invented for situations that don’t make sense. The definition is literally “believing something without proof”. Please make sense of that. Also faith
does not apply when your spouse is driving. You have driven with your spouse many times and based on evidence you make an educated guess that you will make it to your destination safely. If I drop my child off away from home where he is unfamiliar and never found his way home before would you have “faith” that he would make it home? I bet your ass would be out there looking for him.

God wants us to have faith because having faith helps us. Everything is for us not for God.
