I think the "It Takes Two" cut ending works in a way you might not expect. It works as a "final test" of "Do you really wish to stay together?" it also works to show a more visual aspect of what the child might feels during their arguments.

"Dr. Wily attacks the stadium and the only way to stop this act of terror is through beating him in soccer." I think thats how they do it in Argentina too.

Cannot believe the sheer Arbiter slander here, the worst take known to man. You will be removed from the blunt rotation.

‘The tonal whiplash would have ruined the game’
It Takes Two? Really? The one where you murder an innocent toy elephant?

The funniest, yet saddest part about Megaman Soccor was its part in the gag manga, "Rockman 4Koma Dai Koushin", that was made before game's release.
The artist was super pumped about the game. He made up a ton of cool ideas that he thought were going to be in the game... but weren't.

One of his younger fans wrote to him saying they had bought the game day one because of the manga made it look really cool.
The next panel is him apologizing for overhyping the game, even though he was never told what the game was actually like before it came out.
(That's why there is teams of giants bosses, small enemies, and evil Rolls, in the manga, but not the game)

7:58 "Thanks to The Real Hatsune Miku" that took me off guard.
Also, character with the legacy of Megaman dying after a soccer game is so ridiculously I kinda wish it was kept as an alternate ending

To be completely honest, having played It Takes 2, this deleted ending fits MUCH better than what we're actually given. The whole game seems to build up that the book is not as much of a good guy as he seems, and in fact I'd say he often comes across more villainous or at least illogical and baselessly judgmental. The game itself also seems to take on darker and more serious tones as you progress, straying further from its more bubbly silly intro until the tone suddenly shifts back at the very end as a nonsensically happy fairy tale ending comes out of nowhere. It doesn't really feel like the end is climactic enough to be the end, nor does it feel like enough for the parents to have solved their problems at all. The whole ending just felt unrealistic and rushed, and it makes sense why now: because it wasn't supposed to be the ending. What a shame it was changed just because they were worried people couldn't handle a little dark gameplay.

Regardless, I completely disagree with the idea that the game's actual ending without this cut content fits better. This content makes Hakim's behavior throughout the entire game make SO much more sense because he just sounds like a nonsensical fraud who likes watching a dysfunctional couple suffer throughout the entire game. He's annoying, judgmental and often blatantly wrong in his assessments of their relationship, but somehow he still manages to help them and gets painted as the good guy which never made any sense to me. Plus it just doesn't feel like they should have learned much by the end of the game, but this addition of them confronting Hakim and potentially getting to see a lot more imagery of their daughter suffering would make the ending make a lot more sense. The entire ending of the game felt like a poorly written lie to me and now I understand why: the whole game was made with a completely different last level and climax in mind.

That alternate ending to It Takes Two would have been worth it just to see the two kick the shit out of Hakim. My gf and I haven't finished the game but we both heavily disliked Hakim when we did play it, like bro this trial shit is NOT helping Cody and May.

Look. Chief had a flashlight. The arbiter has cloaking. The arbiter was the fun character.

Not sure you know much about the original megaman games. One of the characters looking off into the distance and thinking someone died is pretty standard across the franchise.

Absolutely horrible take about Arbiter. His story in halo 2 is the best written part of the whole series

I do actually like the "secret ending" of It Takes Two more than just the normal version

To quote the greatest game of this century:
"Nobody cares about your dead sister - I'm Alex YIIK!"

#3. It seems to imply that if you don't get the mirror on your way to this ending it'll trigger a fourth ending where she's killed by her brother?

Honestly I would've liked that ending for It Takes Two better than the one we got. If it was finished up and ironed out that would've been the most hype shit ever.
