How to change into Metric system? i am not familiar with the english system

I want to change the size of a component. E.g. from a rectangle length of 65 inches to 75 inches. How can you change the size of objects?

Good video but many of the operations that are being performed don't follow well in my version of Sketchup. I've tried to follow the steps and they either don't perform as shown on the video because Sketchup isn't set up the same or the operations seem to leave out a better explanation as to how to accurately follow the operation. Would be nice to have an "out of the box" version of Sketchup so it follows more exactly and then step by step instructions. As things are right now we can only follow along at "100 mph" in a car that will only go "50mph".

I'm new to Sketchup and have a jig I'm trying to build. I have a photo of it from YouTube but don't know if I can attach it to this comment. Is that possible?

Also, when you make the windows, how do you delete the window so you can see through it. Mine does nothing, it selects then remains white. Are you pushing the delete button? Mine just keeps selecting the whole group of the house. Did yo make a group out of the window? I cannot replicate what you there, them moved them to the other side. watched it like 10 times, still lost. Just a bit confusing, unclear. Thx for the effort tho.

Decent tutorial but you're still not explaining every step. For example, when you first start moving the door around, you center it to the peak of the roof. How did you do that you don't really explain it? You just go up there and click and it centers. Well mine doesn't center it at all. (SM2017) Are you clicking the peak while using the move tool? It seems to me you might be very proficient with SU and subconsiously using some keyboard shortcuts and forgetting to mention them? It's understandable, but for a beginner video it makes it very hard to learn exactly what it going on. Thanks for the effort though I did learn quite a lot. But got left behind often.
