Adding national disgrace to public humiliation. Nice.

He brought shame to himself, his coach, his dojo and his family.

You can't play tough guy when you've already lost the match.

He sacrificed his career just to bully the opponent for few seconds??? What kind of ego is that?? 😭

He should be banned from the Olympics for life.

He shoved his foot into the balls of the French athlete while holding his feet. He should be banned for life.

He looked weak, lost, and needed a cheap shot to feel better. What a small little man.

The French athlete you’re talking about is Teddy Riner, 11 times world champion, won 5 Olympics gold medals and 2 Olympics bronze medals and 5 times European champion. The other guy broke all the judo values being aggressive and confrontational and not fair play at all

That’s the difference between arrogant and humble. I’m glad he was banned. 💯

A man without honor will never find glory.

He didn't study Judo to better himself, he took Judo to be a better bully.

Martial arts is about more than just beating someone physically, its about mental discipline, something that guy is clearly lacking, he should be ashamed

No place for that type of behavior in Judo, not in the Olympics, not in the humblest tatami. Losing to Teddy Riner in the finals is an honor

The Georgian federation should have banned him for life to begin with, since his behaviour is a national disgrace.

That strong with that temper. I'm worried about his family and anyone else who is around him.

What a loser. He just can't take it when his opponent bring him down. The bigger you are the harder you fall. 😅

Don't know how many people noticed, but it wasn't JUST "pushed up the middle". It was ALSO "while grabbing both ankles to maximize damage"

This is disgraceful. It's very poor sportmanship in any event, but this is the Olympics, and he's representing his country.

Did he really think he could get away with that? A true champion respects his sport and his opponent.
