Great video man, we’ve been detecting just over a year. So much of detecting is like life. You get out what you put in, your outlook goes a long way in how you experience it and don’t quit! You covered it all, thanks for sharing!

Good tips bro, I found my first ever half dollar yesterday with the simplex/sp24. (Detecting over 20 years now) 1942 walking liberty, just about stopped my heart when it came out the 4 inch hole. I was expecting a soda can. Sidewalk strip in an old neighborhood next to a big tree.

I've only been detecting for 6 months now and spent the first 10 hours with my Simplex learning in the yard. The yard's not that big, but it had plenty of targets to dig, plenty of clad in the front yard and curb strip( house was built in 1970), and in the back yard various pieces of toy cars hit by the lawnmower. I found 8 pieces of a Halco cap gun, nearly all of it, scattered across the yard. When I got my SP24 coil, I hit them again and found a handmade artisan silver ring and a vintage brass token, along with more clad. Needless to say, I thought I'd done a decent job scouring the backyard, but Wednesday I was stuck at home between thunderstorms and decided to swing over the wet ground slowly in Park 1 and dig all repeaters. I hit 4 clad dimes, a pair of small diary/lockbox skeleton keys, a brass garden hose nozzle, and a GOLD WEDDING BAND 4 inches deep on a scratchy 46-48 signal. Proves your point, perfectly. I appreciate you sharing what you've gleaned metal detecting. Stay safe and keep swinging.

I was almost discouraged yesterday. Then I decided to look for lesser known park before dark . Found necklace and silver ring. You are 100 percent correct.

Totally agree.
I think that is a mistake being on the business only for the worthy finds. That's one of the things that I love from your channel: you enjoy every "elusive green pull tab" for example, the way you transmit your joy and optimism. Past night I was swinging on an old beach beside an old fisherman's town. Was hoping to find some old coins or old stuff because that beach is not suitable for bathing: it was a little boats port and years of fuel and iron make most detectors to reject it. Results: some actual coinage and one of those first Nokias, throwed probably from the window of a adjacent hotel. Was so funny being invisible at night for de people that was hanging around on the promenade and the pubs.
Keep making videos like this, man. Cheers!

Good tips. I’m really enjoying your videos. I have a Whites MX7 that I’ve been using for a few years now and I just purchased the Alex.

Good video! Think outside of a box and don't be afraid to venture. Efficiency and adaptability are very important. Don't listen to dig it all crowd lol

Good video man. It really helps out beginners getting into the hobby. They need any advice to keep them motivated and excited.. Too many times people start and they find trash or find "nothing" because they dont have a pinpointer or a cheap crappy chinese one that is worthless.. This type of video gives the new people hope. The Pros?? If they are not Vain - Will agree to all this information in this video.. More of this.

You are on the target with your list 👍. I started detecting in August 2020 with a fisher f22. Went out almost every day and found enough clad to buy myself a nox600 $65.00 out of pocket for sales tax and shipping.

Good job, hopefully people are inspired by your video. One tip I might have added is having respect for where you dig, other than that you did well. Thanks for the video!

I liked it! #1 Optimism I detect 7 days a week and when I turn on my machines in the back of mind I tell myself [daily] "Im feeling it!" Im alive, Im outdoors, I have a great chance & This could be the day. You made a good point *Even if you dont have a detector you could surface find many items. When Im in a park people commonly ask the same two Questions: "1 whats the best thing you have found? (Im sure you have been asked the same questions many times) Followed by 2 "What does that cost?" I ALWAYS point out Just use your eyes I have found many great surface finds by scanning the ground with eyes open.
Let me ask you~ Since buying your 1st detector a year ago Are you now more aware and alert to your surroundings? [meaning] If your in a parking lot, lets say a Wal Mart - Do you find yourself scanning the area with your eyes looking for dropped items? I find myself constantly "eyeballing" the ground...Funny thing is? My girlfriend and channel camera lady is now the same way - always looking down scanning the area. * I think its contagious
I have a love/hate relationship with batteries BEING: I get upset when I find them disposed by some [insert bad word here] but, my love is knowing I removed that battery from mother earth and, I feel that she will reward me in time.

No... not luck! If you're not out there looking you won't find anything! Therefore - your emphasis on persistence, preparation and knowledge are spot on! Keep at it... as long as it stays fun! 👍🍻😉

The good thing about quitters is “they leave a lot of good stuff in the ground for us persistent addicts” lol 🤣👍🏻
