I started Drinking Alcohol years ago as a teenage, spent my whole life fighting Cigarettes addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

I’ve stopped a year ago and feel great. Loneliness is the first thing that will happen when you try to improve yourself

Stopped drinking alcohol 10: years ago next New Year’s Day. Being an Australian male it’s part of our culture. From 18 years old to 46 years old I was always up for it socially or in the shed with my beloved beer fridge. My kids who are 17 and 15 vaguely remember me drinking which is a good thing. Now I spend my expendable alcohol $$ on mountain biking etc.

I quit alcohol completely at the end of last year and it was the best decision ever. 2023 has been the best year of my life so far!

My wife and I dont drink alcohol and the other night we were invited to a party in a barn with a fully stocked bar, We come prepared, with nibbles and I like Bunderburg Ginger beer, We sat at the bar and along with one other non drinker watch and enjoyed a hreat night, everyone elese ended up doing shots and when we left she was a great funny entertaing night, I drove home and woke up early and did a bike ride, Dont let alcohol waste your time, money or health, You can have a blast without it.

2 yrs alcohol free. in my 40s. Not a big drinker at time of quitting, best thing I've done for my mood and sleep.

I’ve been drinking almost every day for 14 years since I lost my first child and this is the only thing that has inspired me to try and cut back in a big way.

This clip comes at the right moment, I stopped drinking 3 months ago and, last week I was nearly giving up. I went out with colleagues and the feeling of "shame" for ordering Sprite while they were drinking beer was big (I never thought that I would feel like this).

Don't give up guys, we are on the right path 💪🏻

He hit the nail on the head when he talked through the list of things we want from life. I stopped drinking in December last year because it simply didn't really make sense any more. I was not addicted, but over past few years it's just made less sense to have it in my life. So I dropped it.

Alcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my husband which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

2 months 11 days sober, before my 1 slip up I had 1 month behind me too. Best 3 months of my life regarding my mental health, I can manage my adhd and anxiety way better and after a misscarage and no luck conceving for months, I'm now pregnant at the end of my first trimester. Best decision ever, never going back.

Just check your resting heart rate over night when you have had a few drinks. It goes through the roof. As I understand it, it's a depressant which lowers your heart rate and makes you feel good, relaxed etc. When the alcohol starts wearing off you have the rebound effect, which causes your heart rate to jackup in the opposite way. If I have been drinking and wake up in the night I feel heart pounding, teary eyes, anxiety, headache, bp must be through the roof as you are dehydrated as well. Horrible state of mind, just nasty stuff, never worth it. Just steals tomorrows happiness. Life is significantly better without it.

Yep, if I have a drink after work, suddenly I don't want to cook anymore so I order out. So the cost of drinking is way more than just the drink.

Hey awesome to see how many have taken the step to sobriety, and taking back control. Stand strong, you've got this.

9 months no alcohol. I’ve replaced it with marathon training and exercise and have watched my focus, executive functioning, and mood improve. Still have to take anxiety meds but it’s been so worth it

This episode was awesome and inspired me even further.
I turned 44 last week, currently run a large retail business, have 5 kids under my care, partner friend and also in full time university to pursue a doctorate in chiropractic medicine. (Has been a passion of mine for 20 years and figured hell why not now?) I saying all this I’ve decided in my 44th year to focus on my health. I have to much to learn and too much to gain from cutting out alcohol.
This video was exactly what I needed to reassure me in my journey. This also likely explains why if I do drink my heart races when I relax and go to bed.
Thanks again for sharing and keep up the wicked content. Congrats on all your success. Krista

I’m in pretty good shape for 42. I’ve been fitness training for 18 yrs consistently. But I’ve always drank. I can quit here and there for a few days or a week but I can binge hard too. This yr has been hard, lost my dog and found out my best friend betrayed me going after my ex when we were working things out. Now if I drink I get depressed. It makes me sad, and not be able to get passed the thought of them getting g together. I need to cut it out! Congrats to all who have
