0:08 I just like Assembly because of how closely related it is to the hardware. An Assembler is basically just a preprocessor for writing direct machine code (built my own from scratch). Once you know a little about the x86 architecture and have basic practical understanding about digital electronics you realize how nice assembly is in terms of inspiration. It inspired me to design my own microcontroller with my own ISA. I do agree that there is almost no practical usage in today's perspective (if you are not planning on running a business), but for the purpose of pure hardware experience it's all worth it. I don't regret anything!
