I've tried multiple times to change itunes backup locations from other youtuber's tutorials. But none of them worked. Your tutorial is the most recent solution out there and this works HUNDRED PERCENT. My problem was "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because an error occurred error" Guys! This works. Period.

my question is by doing this do the backups stored in the backup folder on the computer do they actually go on iTunes because if so this would really help me to recover my stuff from a old backup ?

All this seems to do is mirror the backup to another drive. It still plugs up your C: drive. If I delete it from C:, it will also delete from the other drive as well. So really, what's the point? I need iTunes to backup to another drive other than C: so that my C: drive doesn't constantly REDLINE.
