How to Belt and Not Strain!

Did you know that you can belt without tension? Belting is a powerful way to sing; however, most of my newer students find themselves being able to belt impressively for only a short amount of time before they start to feel like they're going to lose their voice. Have you been there? In this video, we'll explore what tension free belting should feel and sound like accompanied by some vocal exercises to help you belt with freedom.

Thank you! I've been using this for "Dead Mom" from Beetlejuice The Musical, and this is helping a lot. Considering I'm 12, I was very discouraged about my belting, but this helped so much!

No idea why someone would say 'the channel is dying'. I am a teacher myself and I know that for teachers in all genres and all fields, if they are able to teach even just one person in the whole world, they have done their job. So guess what, keep it up.

I want to try belting so bad I've never even screamed or yelled (I'm a quiet girl) but my parents are always home. When they do leave my brother is home -_-
