YOO what is up everyone! In this BJJ Gi video I wanted to simply talk about how to tie your belt in BJJ. This video is mostly geared towards white belts who don't know how to keep their BJJ Gi belt tied or they tie their BJJ Gi belt in such a way that they look silly.

The style of knot that I use is called the Superlock Style. I tie my BJJ Gi belt in the Superlock Style because it creates a professional looking knot that stays put even in the most aggressive of BJJ rolls. Also it looks really good in pictures and all around shows that even if you have no skill in BJJ you will at least look good while getting smashed on the mats.

Please note that there are many ways to tie your BJJ Gi belt but the Superlock Style is the one that I favor.

This is my favorite knot as it looks great, stays tied pretty well, and easy to retighten quickly. But I like doing the Hollywood wrap around my waist as it’s cleaner looking as opposed to this double wrap which criss crosses in the back.
