Great tutorial, excellent product(s). I've got the Launchkey Mini and a Launchpad S and it's totally changed the 'workflow'... How im composing in general, using multiple DAW's but the Lite version of Ableton is enough to get a fairly solid jam going (especially with Launchpad). The keys are jelly like :) on the LK mini which is a sweet controller considering the price and having *velocity sensitive* pads & 8 pots! Novation need to ditch the mini usb connector on it and chuck in a nice right angled solid USB as per the Launchpad S. That's the only flaw I've encountered so far and LK mini comes bundled with Bass/V-Station, for the $100 or so I paid it's pretty good value and hassle free auto maps well using both NOVATION products and the other synths/controllers in tandem. Works well on iPad too except for the Launchkey app which needs updating as it doesn't accept midi from LK mini, only works with Launchpad. Thanks again for the help.

Problem: Pads play drum and synth at the same time. What I did:
Delete drumkit and synth from each tracks (but keep the tracks!!). Then, move a drum kit
(example: kit core 606) on "Pad A" chain (in your pads track). Then
move a Synth plugin on "Pad B" chain. Keep all settings as shown on the
video. That worked to me! I hope it works to you

Another solution: Do everything as shown on the video. Then, in drums track (midi from), down LKPADS CH10, you need to chose Pad A or B from Instrument rack (Pre or Post FX, as you wish). Idem for other 2 tracks.

this is a good innovation, Novation! bringing the good ol' midi benefits back to modern USB Controllers was a feature I wanted to have got! does the midi channel configuration work on Cubase and other daw, too? or only made for Ableton? best regards!

How did you get your keys to sound like that? I have the launchkey 49 key and i cannot find "Lk Keys".  I love this and I really want to re create it on the 49 key.

I noticed in the video for the performance, the far right knob is used to change the sound but no mention was made of how to achieve this which I would love to know how to set up. Any chance on a quick update as to how to do that? Even text would be great, thanks! Brilliant video, it's helped me a great deal with Live as well.

QUESTION: Why is the MIDI port input/output for the track/remote different than the one referred to in the Launchkey Mini DAW setup guide where it has it set track/remote ON in the first column of input then remote ON on the second input right under it, everything else is set off. Sorry if its confusing from reading this.

Have you any videos on setting up multiple vst synths with full mappings so

Synth 1 - massive
Synth 2 - serum
Synth 3 - sylenth

And be able to keep each mapping for each individual synth so the other 2 are not affected

does it matter which version of Ableton Live you have? because i do have the launchpad itsel and iv downloaded these before but it always tells me some of the files are missing and all that, so im jsut wondering which version of ableton you need. please help me out because id love to start doing that kind of stuff. thanks.

The project file doesn't work on Live 10 Lite 64 bit for Windows 10. It says Analog Instrument not available and then Failed to load Audio Unit "BassStation", probably because the plugin has been renamed as "Bass-Station 64". Any way of fixing this?
