This came at just the right time. I am a substitute teacher and I have been overwhelmed with the realization that this position has absolutely NO BENEFITS for whatsoever, in any way. It's like working as a temp. And I do the same work as the degreed and contracted teachers. I admitted to myself that I don't have the courage to quit because 1) I don't want to feel like I gave up 2) they really need me. I would be the 3rd English teacher to leave since school started in August. 3) I would probably be a little nervous until I started a new job, although the opportunities seem endless, as I have worked in several industries. The Department Chair told me I was doing them a favor. I have every reason to quit and no reason to stay. Why don't I just leave??

Good point! Discernment is often the golden rule, know when to hold’em, know when to fold‘em.

If you can learn to step out of your personal story and be mindful or “the observer” then you can 100% trust your intuition on when to give up vs. when to push forward.

Love this❤ I’ve never been a quitter but having had three concussions in five years has caused short term memory, vertigo and migraines. Which in turn has been causing me to delay finishing my Nursing degree. I have been reflecting on what I’m capable of doing and possibly redirecting my path in a new direction due to these symptoms.
