🌟 Best practices for running inclusive and effective meetings 🌟
• Think about who's being invited and ensure that people know why they’re there.
• Always provide an agenda so attendees know what to expect and can prepare accordingly.
• Turn your camera on to ensure that other attendees can see people’s nonverbal cues. If you’re experiencing fatigue from being on camera, Bush suggests having an avatar that reflects your personality in some way.
• Send pre-reads and follow up with action items so attendees can asynchronously access resources, engage in the meeting, and complete their tasks.

For any teams that are implementing this guidance, ensure that you listen to the needs of your user group.

“Listen to what the employees needs and communicate, communicate, communicate,” Bush says. “Keep sharing the guidance and highlight how the guidance can be helpful to them.”
