BlackStone Griddle Rusted? Easy Fix.

Fixing a rusted /busted Blackstone griddle. This is common after a new season opens, or you accidently forgot to close the lid. Don't trash it, revive it. $10. I tried to show you how quickly in this video without making a 20 minute video like others.

You will need a drill, wire wheel ( I prefer the 4"), and oil for seasoning of your choice... That's it! Lets get back to griddling!

This is the way. The wire wheel was good start. Mine had a lot of junk and rust. A carbide grinder disc aided that problem. Came out perfect.

I used a 4 1/2 inch flapper disc (40 grit) on an angle grinder. This will strip that rusty surface down to shiny metal in no time. Use a wire wheel for the perimeter and a small wire cup for the corners. The first time I did this I used only a wire wheel. It was a pain and took a long time. Using the flapper disc cut the job in half.

you kinda skipped showing how you removed the dust from the wire wheel. You said you used dawn, then moved over to the oil.
How do you apply the dawn, how do you remove the dawn clearner?

I like to use a propane torch in the corners just to make sure they get evenly and fully seasoned as well.
