Fun fact: The peanut and coke thing is still quite popular in the more rural areas of the Southern US. My great grandparents would have this as a snack after working on the farm. My grandparents, my mom, and now my siblings and I also had it as a regular snack. We would get a little sleeve of salted peanuts and a glass bottle of coke. It's incredibly nostalgic!

As an American, it’s so funny to see them be like, “No one does that!” about the peanuts in Coke. It’s something I was never super big on, but it was super popular with people my grandparents and parents’ age. Which is exactly why I knew Ben would end up liking it lol

US south construction worker. I do the peanuts and Pepsi all the time. You get the small packets of nuts that are individually packaged. You just rip the corner and pour them in the drink. Easy snack when I'm on a job that needs me working for hours with minimal breaks and I don't have to go wash my hands to keep my food clean.

Being from the south in the USA the peanuts in coke is a tradition and a lovely snack options. To answer Ben on the salt issue peanuts come in little sleeve packages with a tear tab on the top. Makes it into a funnel and easy to pour in the coke. So tasty and such wonderful memories of my dad and grandpa showing me how to do it when I was little.

I did have a giggle at peanuts in coke being a food trend these days, I had no idea it had become a big trendy thing! I’ll have to tell my wife’s 94 year old granddaddy how on the cutting edge he is🤭

haha I was about to be ready to fight on the peanuts in soda (here in South Carolina we'd also put them in RC Cola or Pepsi). I literally grew up with this treat, my dad first gave it to me 40 years ago and he also grew up with it. To say it's common here isn't even doing it justice, people do it all the time! I totally agree with Barry about it doesn't matter how you cut your sandwich, it ends up 'in my face anyway' but I still cut it evenly!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
