Why Do Women Hate Me for Being Beautiful?

Why do women hate me for being beautiful?

It is bad enough when women compete against each other. A guy trying to be beautiful is adding to the competition.

I thought the modern may was supposed to have a smooth, well maintained look.

When a guy not only measures women by their looks but critiques their beauty routines and treatments, it is offensive.

I've had guys call me gay. Women are calling me metrosexual.

Guys traditionally don't care much about their looks, being more rough and tumble, except to look stronger or more athletic than the other guys. Or they are focused on being well groomed to look civilized and suitable for marriage.

And today guys can get facials, perms and massages just like the women.

It flies in the face of gender stereotypes for a guy to do that. That's why guys will say they have messenger bags instead of man-purses.

So much for men and women being equal.

Let's be honest. Most guys don't put much effort into their looks except to brush, shave and bathe.

And some use body spray to make up for not doing the last one very often.

Or to hide the smell because they've been working out but don't have the time to shower.

Whereas I spend hours every week to maintain my flawless appearance.

Guys hate you because you're making them look bad. Women hate you because you're setting a higher standard, because women are supposed to be neat and prim and coiffed.

Bless you.

I didn't cough. Coiffed means a fancy hairstyle.

Fine, I'm not up on the fancy lingo.

And then there's the fact that you're spending hundreds of dollars on beauty products. You could get more mileage if you spent that money on taking girls out.

I get girls' attention.

But it isn't the right type of attention, unless you just want to one-up everyone on the beauty market. But its unlikely you'll get a girlfriend out of it.

They're just jealous. I'm setting a new standard.

All by yourself.
