What a fantastic drone. Amazingly stable in the air for such a small unit. Easy to fly, easy to get great photos and video. I am amazed by the quality of the images. The Fly More package is well worth the extra investment. The Mini 2 is a joy.

Great test, and testimony as to just how good the mini 2 is. It’s windy here where I live and I’ve been amazed how well it copes with it. The key is knowing when to drop altitude and switching to sport mode quickly if it starts getting away from you. I will be looking forward to the Mavic 3 but I’ll never get rid of my mini 2.

Great lessons in fighting high wind. I usually put the camera down everytime I land so putting it on sports mode in high wind would solved the problem. Big thanks and God bless!!! Thumbs up.

Boy now that was an extreme test all around. The wind and the battery pushed it to the limit!!. Thanks for doing what I would never attempt but so glad to see what the Mini 2 can do. Your extreme tests are always a good guage for me when judging whether to fly or not. Love your channel keep it up always fun to watch!

The Mini 2 really performed well in the high winds. And great tip about the performance change if you have the camera angled to far down. Great wind testing Dustin, and thanks for sharing.

Nice test! I bet that is why some people loose their drone when pointing their camera down in normal mode while in high wind. Very interesting DJI has it do that! Good to know!

I have dealt with pretty harsh winds, and the mini 2 does great, but I do notice the battery life is decreased greatly, and obviously its top speed isn’t nearly as good. I wouldn’t recommend flying in the wind if you wanted to get good shots, but if you were to fly, leave it in sport mode.

That’s good to know! I noticed this one time when I was first flying with the Mini 2. Kept drifting away. I had always figured the winds aloft were just really strong that day! Good to know. They really need to explain this stuff. Glad you’re testing it for us!

It's not the camera pointing It's not giving power cause you're too low man, same reason it doesn't fly fast when 3 feet off the ground....

I just did a test over labor day weekend in the Florida Keys with the Mini 2 vs the Mavic Pro. Although it appeared to work harder... the mini 2 video and footage was just as stable as the Mavic Pro in 20 Mph wind with extreme gusts. Never appeared to be at risk of losing control, and I have to admit the Mini 2 cut through the headwind faster than the Mavic Pro.

My Mini 2 did lousy the first time I took it into some wind. I don’t know what I was doing wrong. So switching it to ‘Sport mode’ could have made a difference? This is a pet peeve I’ve had about drone producers. Couldn’t they have clued us in about changing speeds in windy conditions? Thank you for making and posting these informational videos. They’re very helpful!
