- The most obvious thing to do when you get unwanted correspondence is to block the sender. Yes, it’s a great way to stop one particular number from ever contacting you again.
- While ignoring a call from a suspicious or unknown number seems like the best thing to do, it’s quite the opposite. But picking it up and screaming at the spammer also isn’t an option! What you need to do is answer the call but remain silent.
- Since spammers hunt for active phone users, make them believe you aren’t one. Record the “this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service” message on your phone and play it whenever spammers call.
- As a smartphone user, you can choose from multiple apps that track and block fraudulent calls.

When you said sometimes people will try different numbers after you blocked the first one, it’s actually happened to me. I blocked a number and then a few hours later I got the same phone call advertisement just from a different phone number.

The arrest warrant scam will easily get anyone if they're not careful. It scared me for a minute when I listened to it on my voicemail. Now, I just ignore it. 😦😏

I recieve massive amounts of calls and texts and every time it's from a different number... and the texts always call me Skylar or Brittany. I'm neither but it's from a different number every time!
