I saw a nature documentary about these Lions eariler this year (2023 for those of you in the future) by the Discovery Channel. It was reposted by someone else on YouTube titled "Brothers in Blood: The Lions of Sabi Sand." I don't think we will ever see any group of animals this savage for a very, very, long time. Except for chimps, they're always brutal.

The Mapogo are my favorite coalition. I literally cannot count the hours I've spent watching videos of them, not about them, just them.. Everything they did was so interesting - the fighting, hunting, their bond. It is such a shame they split up. Everything went downhill from there.
One thing about when Kinky Tail died...Mr T actually stayed in the area overnight trying to contact roar him. He knew that the new "owners" of the land were around and he knew that it was unlikely his brother was alive, but he tried throughout the night anyways, putting himself in danger. Just in case he got a call back.
Watching Mr T's last fight is wild. He did not give up even when he was partially paralyzed. That's one of the craziest fights I've seen.

And it is a common misconception that male lions dont hunt. I can tell you stories…even where a female finessed a male out of his kill because she failed in her hunt…so she flirted with him to give up his meal for her. 🤣
