I dont understand how everyone isn't thinking about the end of their existence all the time.

This is me 100%. Death is always on my shoulder. Helps me to love everything and everyone way more. Also makes me confused why others dont.

Imagine having a constantly acute sense of your mortality and still going outside and driving towards something you find valuable. The facts that it doesn't disturb you to the point that you're paralyzed is amazing, but to proceed forward and committ yourself to huge tasks is courageous.

I am seventy seven year old female. I often wondered thorough the years how my blessed grandmother felt. She raised me from birth and lived to be within four days of ninety nine. She really was a saint on earth as she lived her life with so, so many hardships. Yet she always had the heart to forgive and forget any live hardship she went through. I'm talking about a really really hard life. I wish I had asked her. I just didn't ever, ever want to make her life any harder for her.
I think of death often at my age and I am sure she did but she always had the best words to make anyone feel better, she was a true daughter of the Trinity.
I am not afraid of death itself, I am a child of the Trinity. I guess it is just human nature to be a little leery of what we have not known on this earth.
Blessing to you Mr. Peterson as I have just found you on YOU TUBE recently and so appreciate your honesty and truth about true feelings. May the Trinity Bless you. Jesus is the Son of God, God in the Flesh and I am so thankful that The Holy Spirt is in we believers as Jesus said He would leave us a friend a comforter. I am so thankful!!

We're all mortal, but Jordan Peterson's wise words will live on for generations.

The thought of death grounds me everyday and helps me act on things that need to be done. It is extremely compelling if one will give time to ponder about it.

“All the time” Me too. It feeds into my relationships. I must give people their honor while they are here. It’ll eat me up!

We are very fortunate we are able to hear him on the internet...
Some people just take it for granted. We must be grateful to the people who made it possible. Some people are working hard to make the world a better place.

This gave me shivers, such a driver, and that was before the cold awakening of having a great Sunday drive as a 20-something passenger, looking down for 10 seconds, then up to what I thought was the end. Lucky to just close the freeway, but even more fortunate to have this reminder every day since. Takes a conscious effort to have the best 6 months of life no matter what’s going on, but so grateful to live each day with no regrets.

"The Angel of Death sits on every word" -Jordan Peterson

Damn that was brilliant! That's how I feel every day, I constantly think about it. I just didn't know a good way to put it into words. Now I do. I'll use that line for 2024.

What helped me was a hugerssage from my husband who added. It validated that we don't die. I now watch NDE any everyone says that The other side is our home and it's blissfully. This helps.

We focus on the fact that we will no longer get to the things you love in life anyone when we die, but the things that stressed go away too. Really think about it. If you make it to your 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or even your 100th, do you really to continue on in a world you no longer can relate to? Likely without those you cherish or love?

Even as a teen I never engaged in risky behaviours as I knew how fragile life is. It is at once a blessing and a curse to be so aware of our mortality. But iot does help you focus.

As I have got older I have resigned myself to my death, I notice I look up in U-Tube articles that give me some hope that its not the ultimate end, even if we are not in the body, I am not religious, but I do believe we are children of the Cosmos, it gives us everything we need, why not in death.
