Akron police release body-cam footage of officers punching man after videos appear on social media

Two Akron police officers are being investigated for their use of force after video circulating online shows a man being punched multiple times in the face by the officers during an arrest Saturday.

That escalated really quickly. That really got out of hand. These cops were out of control. The cops are saying that it was his fault but they went from 0-100 in 2 seconds and he did not do anything to resist. These cops are nuts and out of control.

When police mute or cover body cameras to avoid evidence then this can be considered spoliation of evidence, which police do all the time.

My problem with this is, he's standing there when they pull up, start grabbing at him, try to throw him on the ground. They never talk to him or listen to what he's trying to say. I generally support the police, because they do have a fear for their safety, but this seems like it accelerated from 0 to 100 in nothing.

The man asked to go to the hospital and the cop says he's fine, so now they're the immediate doctor on site.... And I love the way the cops silence the recorders that they're supposed to leave on
