Come on. After a car chase, the guy shot at cops, at night. While wearing a ski mask, he ran from cops in the dark. He made a motion that lead them to think that he was going to shoot again. They shot him. Why the outrage? Come on.
That was either very stupid, or drugged, or psychotic, or suicidal. One thing it wasn't? It wasn't the fault of cops.

Although Jayland did not have a gun on him when he was shot, based on the circumstances leading up to the shooting, the cops had every reason to believe he was still armed and dangerous when he sprinted out of his car trying to get away.

This is a simple guide if you do not want to end up on the wrong side of a police encounter:
#1. DO NOT SHOOT AT THE COPS!!! EVER!!!
#2. When the cops execute a traffic stop, DO NOT RUN FROM THE VEHICLE!! Especially if you just shot at the cops.

Fact is that Jayland was caught on an ODOT camera firing on the police during the had NO WAY of knowing that he was unarmed when he left his community is going to have to accept that Jayland brought this tragedy on himself. How many cops have been shot in the past month

To be fair to all concerned. He did shoot first, and at the police, which then escalated the situation. He should not have run. The police did not know he was unarmed when he fled on foot.

When the lawyer said "unarmed at the time of the shooting", he basically admitted that the young man DID have a gun in the car, and probably discharged it. That gave the police every right in the world to respond with deadly force. The media must tell the unvarnished truth!!

I want to personally thank these officers for serving in the line of duty and taking another one of these criminals off our streets and protecting the lives of all the law-abided citizens who are sick of these criminals running rampant on our streets.

Walker could have simple pulled over and comply. But no he caused a high speed chase, shooting the cops, then try to flee on foot. His poor choices was the cause of his death.
