I use mint oil and dried mint leaves to keep away spiders and mice. Clean and replace seasonally for most effective, but as soon as it gets warm, they come out.

Hey fam! FYI, essential oils are awful if you have pets. My friends dog was going blind, within a month of getting rid of their plug-ins, their dog started gaining back their eyesight. Also cats can’t digest them once they lick it off their coat, which causes a lot of internal issues. Although they smell great, you will save on vet bills by getting rid of them. Great video!

Life Hack: We live in a log home. The thing about log homes no one tells you before you buy or build one? Carpenter bees, hornets, wasps, termites, mice, bats, centipedes, stink bugs, lady bugs, springtails, spiders, carpenter ants (we’ve dealt with all of these and I’m happy to say defeated them all) pretty much all creepers and stingy things LOVE LOG HOMES. Because essentially, it’s a big dead tree; wasps and carpenter bees are especially attracted to it. But we discovered a hack that works 💯 in deterring both. Take a brown paper lunch bag, fill it with tissue, crinkle it a little, twist it at the top and close it with a twist tie, then hang them outside in eaves, porches, in the enclaves etc. just hang them all over the outside of your house in these spots. Don’t worry, they aren’t really visible when tucked in these places so the aesthetic of your home will not be spoiled. Do this hack, and Both wasps and carpenter bees will now avoid your house at all costs. Why? Well, because the bags look like wasp hives to both wasps and carpenter bees. And the wasps will think there is already a wasp colony and will not set up home there, and the carpenter bees will avoid because they also think there is an over abundance of wasps in this location and will avoid it. So if you have either of these two pest bothering you around your area, give this hack a try. This life hack completely changed our quality of life both inside and outside on our decks in nice weather. It’s works 💯.

I already knew about some of these. My Granny used to use beer to kill slugs the were attacked to her porch, that was the only reason she ever bought any beer. I also heard that peppermint oil is also good for repelling roaches.

When I had a Flea Infestation I got Rid of Them Using Plastic Container Lids with Soapy Water (Just Add a Small Amount of DishWashing Soap, I Use Dawn) and Put a Battery Operated Tea Light in the Middle of the Lid. I Put 2 of them in Every Room, cuz Fleas can Burrow into Wood and Linoleum as well as Carpeted Areas. The Fleas are Attracted to the Light and Will Jump in the Water to get a drink, and the DishWashing Soap Instantly Breaks Down Their Exoskeleton, so they Sink into the Water and Drown. It takes a little while to get them all with this method, but it Does Work. Sumthin Else I did was Sprinkle Baby Powder on My Rugs and Carpet to Suffocate them. Then After 30ish Minutes just Vacuum it all up and Empty the Contents of the Vacuum and Remove it from Your Home.

When I was young I remember people saying that moths were putting holes in mostly wool and sweaters. You don't hear about moths today 🤔

I have used soapy water a lot before, learned that it messes with their (bugs) breathing and kills them which is alot cheaper than store deterrents

When ya have pets, keep in mind before using natural alternatives whether for pests or in an infuser, what doesn't harm people can be harmful or deadly for our fur buddies.

The horse thing is so bad I have to use a special spray 3-7 times a day on my horses in the summer to deter flys, so I might try that hack to get rid of the flys

I've always wanted to strip my whole front lawn and replace it with artificial turf and have it installed the correct way for easy general maintenance upkeep. Instead of mowing my lawn, Ill vacuum it and separate the ground up rubber bits from the crappy trash stuff and then reuse the rubber along with some fresh rubber bits. My front lawn is kinda big enough to have football yard markers with end zone line as well as a soccer field 18 yard box with 12 yard penalty spot and 6 yard box with full size goal. I've already acquired the two goals I managed to purchase from my high school and they are the exact ones I played with my for 4 years high school and 2 years middle school. They hold sentimental value cause I was the starting goalie(4yrs Varsity HS, 2yrs middle School 7-8 grade) and they were the first goals constructed with the tube piping with wheels for easy movement and round pipe for bottom net to be attached to make my goal real sexy to defend. I cant even count how many times I've "kissed" each goal post(facing net- right, left, then both hand kiss the top bar with a loud slap of my hands to let Referee know I'm done with my pregame and 2nd half superstitious ritual for every game i ever played(high triple digits at least). One of the goals on side post STILL has a couple stain marks from my head hitting it and busted open and the blood was never cleaned off properly so now to this day there's faint but visible couple drops and then the bigger mark where my head hit. I thought that was cool as shit to show people when we have BBQ's or old teammates come over and set up the goal and I put on my goalie gloves and soccer shoes along with the replica jersey i wore for high school(the real jersey is hanging up and enclosed in glass case which is locked inside main glass trophy case for displaying. That jersey was very special cause it was the same one that Tony Meola wore for playing on US National team in 94 World Cup which USA hosted. Jersey was called "Typhoon" Goalie long sleeve style. I wore that jersey all 4 years with #1 on back(my team number for all teams I played on). After I graduated my coach retired that jersey and had me autograph it before locking it up for ever along with my team picture and 2 other pictures he got taken by newspaper reporters of me diving for the ball for action shots. Every time I enter the gym to watch school performance or basketball games, wrestling meets those glass trophy cases are right in front and soccer case is first one seen and my jersey is directly at eye level can't miss with 3 pictures of me lining bottom of case. I get tears when ever I see it. And of course I'll point it out to whomever is around me lol. I love to go up to young kids if they looking at the case and I'll point to my jersey and say, "that's me". 👌 They get star struck and ive been asked for my autograph even lol. Their parents recognize me cause they my age usually or their older sibling my age so they know me from back then and its fun. I'm humbled to sign and get selfie with them. Then I'll have them tag me on their post and I'll repost their post on my socisl with a shout out to them tagged on my post. It's like they king of world lol, I love it that i can inspire them and give them something so simple from me that took maybe 3 minutes to highlight that kid's heart and give back to my community and inspire others to do same. Small Town Heros have Big Hearts.

I've gotten rid of ant hills in my lawn by sprinkling cinnamon around them. This burns them enough to make them abandon the nest. 🐜
