I always thought Life Domain made more sense for Shadowheart. She may be Sharran at the beginning of the game but the mission briefing file you find in the House of Grief talks about how Shadowheart was selected for her mission to be her team’s healer.

Just wanted to let you know, Hellrider's aren't THE best healing gloves in the game because there is a better version available in act 3! It is called "The Reviving Hands", you purchase it from the Vicar in Stormshore Tabernacle (the temple/church to Gods, and yes he is a vendor) and it gives you blade ward on heal (exactly like Hellrider Gloves), death ward when you revive, +1 to strength saving throws AND a free revivify per long rest

I got a weird Shadowheart combo for you:
Way of Shadow Monk/Life Domain Cleric
The level split is based on how melee or caster you want her to be.
The Shadow Monk levels provide an approximation of the trickster domain features.

This is the build i used during my first run. Just stumbled onto it. I did 2 life cleric for the radiant aoe heal as it scales with caster level and not just cleric level. Best aoe heal by far. Large range and great scale. I loved the build. Still use it mid game second run before transition to another cleric domain as story decisions open up the door for.

Thanks. I’m going to try this out but I might put 1 more level into Warlock to get an invisible Imp familiar that can stand next to enemies while you are fighting them and give your fighters advantage on every hit. Oh and also scout ahead.

Hey bro quick tip. I love the fact you have the different time stamps for different areas. But can you put in parentheses the levels that the section has to do with? It would make it easy for coming back to your videos to continue the class after we’re at the appropriate level. Love the vid

Thank you I really did not know what to do with Shadowheart. She’s the only character I was having a problem with.

This build looks amazing! Definitely going to try it out. My party really needs a Bard.

Excellent video! This build also lets you experience some of the wonderful bard-specific dialogue options and shadowheart saying some hilarious medieval insults when she uses cutting words, so it's a win all around

Loving the builds man! Hope to see more videos for all the companions.

I would recommend Warden of Vitality instead of Fireball. A free bonus-action heal every single turn is a good use of concentration, especially when you get so many additional effects each time you heal someone. Not to mention, it's 20d6 healing for a single 3rd level spell slot, divided as you choose in 2d6 increments.

The "problem" with this build is that by the time you get the levels and gears for Shadowheart, the actual damage dealers are so OP already Shadowheart rarely gets to do anything. My experience is (both tactician and normal) starting Act 2, Shadowheart's initiative is not high enough to let her act. Usually, Astarion (rogue/multiclass) and or Laezel/Karlach (barb/fighter multiclass) have such a high initiative, they always go first and all of them have enough damage output to end the fight before Shadowheart gets the chance to do anything.

Your video does made me realize the actual right build for Shadowheart, keep her as Trickery, and heavily focus on stealth and buff and dump all points into Con/Dex. Shadowheart, I think, is Astarion's replacement intended by the developers. Not as a damage dealer but as a thief/rogue. There's a whole set of medium armor with the attribute "does not impair disadvantage on stealth check" or simply "you have adv on stealth checks while obscure". And the medium armors that buff stealth ALSO has + con save on them, this is a hint from the developers. Having Shadowheart with high Con/dex is also very lore friend, , just think of all the things she went through both mentally and physically since youth.

Story wise, you really don't need Astarion in your party outside beginning of Act 1 and near the end of Act 3. But you do need, Wyll, Karlach, and Shadowheart throughout the Acts for their companion quest lines. If you just think Shadowheart as a plate armored thief and a buff bot, she is extremely useful and to be a buff bot, all you need is to maintain concentration. Max constitution, and probably 16 dex, take war caster. Let her do all the lock picking and pre buffs during fights. There are several items that allows wearer to cast Haste. That's basically Shadowheart's job.

This is essentially what I stumbled into for wyll. Thought it matching since he has like a heroes persona, so why not make him a bard and complete the full persona

10:35 Shadowheart should already have shield proficiency from half-elf, armor is nice though.

I still think if you aren't doing Tempest Cleric for damage then Life Cleric is the best Cleric. Good video ty

The build is nice and the bard confidence sapping kinda fits for her personality in a way. It's not lore-friendly at all (attributes, warlock multiclass) but people call things what they want these days. It's like "Vanilla-Balanced" mods of other games that provide weapons with 500% dps and more.

Tbh you don’t need any level cleric if you want to charisma focus
Just turn her to Paladin, Oath of devotion also have everything cleric have

How is lore friendly to add bard + warlock to Selune cleric? Doesn't make sense
