To your point at 15:10 on Dancing lights blocking vents: agreed the hag lair is the worst spot for this, and there are two alternate (and faster) workarounds, allowing you to take minor illusion instead:

1. You have feather fall as a ritual. As soon as you cross the waterfall, cast feather fall, and jump to the north (or to Tav's right as viewed coming out of the waterfall). You can jump past all the traps really friggin' quick that way.

2. The only time I had ever really used protection from evil: cast it, put on hag's masks, and traps won't trigger in the first place.

There's maybe one or two other gas traps in the game which have any impact at all, usually minor, so I take minor illusion instead as my bard x / Cleric 1.

Minor illusion combines really well w performance as a bard. Pop minor illusion first to get eyes away from the dex character sneaking around, and then start a performance to catch any straggling NPCs not checking out the adorable cat

Love how you say where you get everything... Except "The Best Helmet in the game"...👏

I would love a party comp build, I spend so much time looking at awesome builds but then get stun locked on what choices to run.. I like the idea of a Jack of all trades party where each member specializes in an area so there are minimal failed checks but also good party cohesion

if you go Liife cleric, at least get her to lv2 so you can cast Perserve Life. Also use the ammy that give divinity charge (also give +2 spell saving), you can find it at the underground of the temple where Gale meet Mystra. Also respec some hireling to lv10 cleric and summon you a few hammers. You can cast the regen and get buffed before most fights. As a support, you missed the lv3 cleric spell Aid.

For support you will need at least the spells, 1) Haste, 2) Aid, 3) Mass healing, 4) Counterspell

But seriously, I also want Globe of Invulnerability, Misty Step, Conjure Elemental, and a bunch of necro spells for abusing the free cast of Staff of Necromancy. That's where you need to ask yourself. why not just get a few level of wizard, what I get from a bard beyond lv6?

IDK what game you're playing. Not many npc need your protection, I can only think of Isabel, Hope in act3 and the goblin in act1 you have full control.

I prefer 2 lvls of divination Mage instead 11 bard to learn spells from Scrolls and portent dices.

Whispering Promise is so cursed in availablilty. It was NOT on Volo, it was not on Roah, it was not on the goblin traders... sigh. I have never seen this item in 3 play throughs.

Why casting mass healing word on turn one if you are just going to skip it and cast sanctuary on the next? Bless is only two turns and now 50% of it gets wasted

Looting every container, corpse and chest cant keep up with this build in act1. Id like to see an iron-person build. 10-20 fights without even a short rest

How about 1 wizard (for spell scribing) 2 sorc (for twin casting) 3 life cleric (for channel divinity AND 3 Warding Bonds on your team) and 6 Bard for haste and the bardic inspiration ?

You lose out on freedom of movement but gain resistance to everything and +1 to ac and saving throws for 2 teammates which imo is better

If you really want freedom of movement get cleric to 7 and bard down to 2 which wull stil lgive you some Bardic Inspirations to use, then just grab Haste through wizard i think

I would love to se a progressive build, like following the main plot. Would be awesome with a team build.

Any suggestions for helmet and Armour for just starting act2? I used adamantine to make shield and medium armor unfortunately. My thought process was I could make my ranger and throwing barb tankier. Didn't find your channel until later. Of all the builds this is the one that seems to really get all their items in act3

Which is the best team for this build? I plan on picking Warden of Vitality (2D6 + 5 healing each turn for 10 turns. This will trigger The Whispering Promise and The Reviving hands), I plan on picking a lot of utility spells.

I'd like to know what your party build looks like.

I had asked on your Astarion dual Hand Crossbow build for a Lore Bard PC build without realizing that you already had one. My bad. With a few tweaks this is going to be great.

May I suggest something - tbh, I think, the best support class in the game is the one who can cast twin haste. Haste is the best support spell in the game in my opinion and when you can twin cast it, it's just broken. So I would invest at least 2 levels into sorc. Sorc also gives you constitution saving throw proficiency, extended metamagic (so for example 4 turns of sleep instead of 2 or 6 turns of wet condition from create water instead of 3, etc.), shield spell and an ability to fly with your bonus action (storm sorc). So maybe something like 8 bard, 2 cleric for channel divinity, 2 sorcerer; or 8 bard, 1 cleric, 3 sorcerer for 3 metamagics.
But the best option in my opinion would be 8 bard, 1 cleric, 2 sorc and 1 wizard. 1 wizard allows you to learn haste, misty step and smth like conjure elemental from scrolls - these spells don't care about your int at all, and you can take mass healing word and counterspell from level 6 magical secrets (spells that you can't learn from scrolls).

I don't know were we need a healer. My funny "all reroller setup" (without healer): 12wiz divination (potient dice reaction), 11light cleric/ 1sorc (disadvantage reaction), 2pala10lore (bardic inspiration, with legendary rapier for 2 reactions), 12wild sorc (wild reaction) or 10sorc 2tempest nvm. All Lucky, amulet from young gith for reroll, 3cs, etc.

Sanctuary for a Tank is awful. It forces opponents to attack other party members. That’s literally the opposite of a Tank’s main job: keeping aggro.

So what is the rest of your party? This is a great build but you have not convinced me that I need it.
