MOST OP Shadowheart Build Guide - Baldur's Gate 3

This is the MOST OP Shadowheart Build Guide in Baldur's Gate 3. The tempest cleric is a very powerful build and it suits Shadowheart. This is the strongest version of a cleric, so that's why I went this route. Adding in a single level of The Wizard allows us to learn things like Thunderbolt and chain Lightning, which can be devastating with our channel divinity. This class is a whole lot of fun, and you get lots of damage options between lightning and thunder spells, which can really shake things up. adding in a level of wizard just gives us a bunch more variety with what spells we select.
We can also use the markoheshkir staff to cast chain lightning as well!

I’ve watched a lot of tempest cleric guides and this is the one I’ve liked the most thus far. Just in time!

I feel monoclass clerics are just generally underrated in BG3. They can heal, they can use magic, they can melee and/or ranged. What's not to like. Plus, depending on the god chosen, they can have some great dialogue moments. I'm still disappointed we couldn't choose Shar as a PC cleric, or any of the dead 3. Imagine Durge being a Bhaal cleric :)

This is what i have been looking for since i started replaying BG3, I have had the game since early access but till this day for one reason or another i have not been able to finished the whole game or even seen the story to it's end, I am off work for a whole week of vacation so i plan to do just that, was also looking for up to date videos on respecing or a guide for our companions....but to also keep somewhat and not deviate too much from their lore accurate origins classes or at least speccing them into something that would still make sense for their origin, thank you for this video guide and the great content.

This build seems very nice. I like your guide better especially how you go over the gear that synergizes together. That is something unique that I have not seen in other build videos.

I always prioritize Dexterity over Constitution because of initiative. Priority is +10 to initiative. +3 Dex, +5 Alert and +3 Hellrider Longbow its +11 to Initiative. It’s much better than Wis from 18 to 20. Also you can reduce 16 Str to 8 and increase Int from 8 to 16 and drink Elixir of Hill Giant Strength.
I always have like 25 of them. Sure you can have even more but 25 are more than enough. After every Long Rest or level up you can buy 3 of them from Auntie Ethel, so don’t rush for hair. Live if for later after you bought enough of them. Maybe above 20 because later in Underdark and from the rest of vendors you can buy them, but just one.

That's exactly how I always build my Cleric. That single dip into Wizard is so good.

Nyrulna/any thunder weapon earlier and going all in on reverbration and ac is a very good way to play pure tempest cleric if you dont wanna make a party around wet

I never use divine intervention because I’m “saving it for later” 😭

Awesome build! Did something similar in a previous playthrough. In my current playthrough, Shadowheart went Selunite, with the luminous armour and Light domain focus, she's the MVP of my current run. Too bad for her, I've commited to an evil Durge run...

My current tav is a warlock, and i picked up the invocation which grants access to summoning elementals. I feel the water elemental can sync up really well with this considering it can also spread water with its aoe.

Awesome build. I’d switch Dex with Str and leave Con. Since Tempest Domain gets Heavy Armor, Heavy Armor has a set AC that ignores your Dex modifier.

So something like Dex at 10 so you don’t have a penalty, and Str at 14, with 2 ASIs on WIS and alert

I wish i knew about this build when i finally finished this game. Shadowheart was always my weak link in the party cos i had no idea how to use her properly 😅

I meant to say this about Sleetstorm on another video you did. I think you sleep on it. It would be perfect for this build. Ice storm is a one and done thing, but sleet storm you can keep going though the entire battle and every time someone tried to get up they eventually fall prone again. You can pick people off easily. Plus, it hits over a wide area.

awesome video man your build videos are great! This is literally exactly how I built shadowheart in my previous playthrough and it works amazingly well. Seeing this video gave me an idea to make it even stronger though: You could go for level 9 cleric instead of going for level 11 and put 2 levels into sorcerer. This gives you access to sorcery points and this means with the shield of devotion you could get infinite sorcery points which you could use for infinite spellslots(up to level 5 spellslots). Even without that having access to twinned haste (by learning haste through the wizard level) makes putting in those levels into sorcerer worth considering. The only thing I am not sure about is how or if adding sorcerer affects the scaling of cleric and wizard spells in any form because if not then I would try this version of the build in the future

Whispering Promise is the ring that gives bless on heal. It's obtained by purchasing it from Volo which you can get in act 1 when you speak to him. When it gives you dialogue options just select trade and it will be there. For a while I didn't know you could just select trade which is a button found in the bottom left of the screen on PC.

When you realize you're following the Vengeance Paladin and this guide and they have basically the same build (gear wise) whelp too late now🤣

Yes! Shadowheart lore-build! This is the Selune one, obviously, and I think it's great! The Shar version can be the other build you made. Shadowheart is still one of my favourite characters, my first romanced one as well. I romanced shadowheart then no one, then no one, then gale, then no one again. Sorry, I don't romance them much, more focused on killing and evilness.

HOLD PERSON SPIRITUAL WEAPON IS ACTUALLY UNDERRATTED. Dude, i use spiritual weapon a LOT and my friends say it sucks. Dude! It's really good! It's extra hit points, something for enemies to hit!
I barely have scrolls of revivify so I definitely need that spell. Or not, actually. Just pickpocket Withers and it'll be fine.

Great build! Definitely going to be using it!

You are missing out on the Level 1 spell 'Inflict Wounds' (3-30 necrotic damage at L1). First, it is a touch weapon, so (unlike most spells) it can be cast on an adjacent enemy without penalty. The damage for a L1 spell is good - and for every level it is upcast it does an extra d10 damage, so it scales really well. Guiding Bolt for attacking at distance and Inflict Wounds for melee - you need both, especially if some of your companions are squishy and your cleric has to melee sometimes.

Nice!! Luv your work!! Maybe you can create some build for a full illithid character using dark powers with a help of necromancer or shadow Druid! It would be great! 🤞🏻
