I've been using Mobil 1 oils in my vehicles (Honda, Ford, Mazda, Toyota) for over 30 years & not one of the engines have ever needed internal repairs.
Mobil 1 oils flow easier than any others in extremely cold temperatures which is when most engine wear occurs.

I have been running Mobil1 exclusively since I purchased my car new end of 2016(2017 model). I do all my oil changes starting at 1k miles using semi synthetic Mobil 1. Then again @ 3k miles. Then again @ 10k miles. From 10k miles onwards I have used Mobil1 extended performance 5-w 30 full synthetic. I had been driving 48 miles each way to work from day 1 in this car. A 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer 2.4l motor N/A. For years I made that commute M-F and many Saturdays too. Then driving all over on weekends. I bought car w\80 miles new. I now have 169k miles on my car. I went up to 20k miles a few times between oil changes and had to add just over 1 qt of fresh oil as that's what burned off. I have ZERO OIL LEAKS. Car does not smoke at all on start-up or when going WOT. I am starting to get a little drivetrain rattle in winter cold starts that goes away relatively quickly before temp gauge moves at all.
I use Mobil1 extended performance 5-30 exclusively and Frame XG oil filters. Tried Mobil1 and was really small so I didn't like them. I always warm my engine up before driving away.

I don't use Mobil 1 ....but I will say I've seen many cars that went 300k plus using it..the big complaint I hear about this oil is its ability to burn off between oil changes...my uncle had a Nissan truck from the mid 80s that went 400k on mobil 1.... not sure how much the formula has changed since then though ..

These Mobile test results are interesting. When I had my VW Passat the first 2 oil changes were free from the dealer. The dealer used VW 508 spec Mobile oil. In between oil changes my car burned at least 1 quart, sometimes more. By the third oil change I did it myself and used VW 508 spec Liqui Moly. The oil burning stopped, or at most was not noticeable.

I’ve mostly been a Valvoline customer my whole life. Your videos has gotten me to try royal purple and ultra platinum. But I still seem to like Valvoline the best. I really enjoy these videos and the info that comes with them. My standard oil change has been purolator boss filters and full synthetic maxlife from Valvoline. Looks like it’s staying that way.

Another gimmick. Tried it once. Didn’t like how quick it turned black.

Cleanliness. Helps remove sludge in one oil change. Mobil one extended performance High mileage. Something not seen in other 20k oils. Trying it now because a quart was left in my new house. Wouldn't have otherwise. 87k on F150 2.7. 2021 and just purchased. Will change oil filter at 2k.

I saw Circle K has their own oil. It's by Pinnacle out of Indianapolis. It's expensive though, 8.99 a quart but i suppose you're paying for the convenience.

Mobile 1 is decent. I used to buy it from Walmart like 10-15 years ago. Cold flow was good, made my engine a little noiser... which I think was because it was thinner than other 5w-30 oils. The lower Flashpoint of 410 is a bit of a concern with GDI engines, but these numbers only tell a part of the story. Bore scoping a modern engine after 30k might prove more. Any chance you can see if any of the brand loyal customers with similar models would be up to participate?

I don’t use M1, but it’s still good oil. They use really good base oils and rely on it. Too many of certain additives cause more sludge and issues for direct fuel injection. Also, if you have a timing chain, you don’t want too many additives. They get chopped up like a blender and break the oil down faster. Keep it simple and using good fuel to cut down on fuel dilution in the oil is the way to go. If it passes the Dextos 1 requirements, it’s a good oil. All M1 run a lil thin. I wanted to try their 5w40 because it’s on the thin side of it and it has a lot of miles. Just thinking it might keep the compression better, but my car doesn’t need Euro packaging.

Where are the marketing teams or engineers for these brands to help explain their oils to provide some context to their oil makeup? You have your core audience right here, clamoring for more information and it would cost you $0. It could go a long way in building your core audience and establishing a good rapport. Rich is a great guy who is open to hearing all sides. It would be great for these brands to speak to him and walk through their oil, why it contains the additive package it does, explain what those additives do, and answers questions people have about their oil.

Depends on the price for me and availability I run 3k oil changes on my fleet so it dose not matter all that much and keeps the mind at ease.
