Hey, you can check under settings in the menu bar at the top and click on preferences. I have never changed my highlighting, I still keep the default colour.

When you use the <br /> tag for your line break, it looks more like the stricter version of html which is (X)HTML. in HTML5 I guess you can be better off with <br> living out the forward slash for line break.

You will have to use CSS to change the image to be displayed as an inline element

Yes that is true, but I still find them helpful. If you want to conform to w3c strict standards you should use them though, and I guess it's just a habit from how I learned XHTML.

You don't need the "forward slash" for single tags in HTML5. Isn't it so?
