Vexing an Ex

The plaintiff claims her ex-husband owes her money for a car she bought him, so she’s suing. The defendant argues he was paying off the car as agreed, but then he lost his job. Besides, the defendant says, he gave the plaintiff money years ago while they were together, so they’re practically even. The defendant is countersuing for an unpaid loan.

It was foolish for her to buy him a car when she knows he doesn't maintain a job and he's in child support arrears for their child. Every time he misses a car payment, and she has to pay it, that's even less money she can use to provide for their child. He is a deadbeat father; he should be getting more than cursed out in text messages.
