Frank's cover of "I Remember You" has been one of my all time favorite recordings for more than 60 years. What a remarkable talent he was. ❤

Frank made a huge impact on country / popular music in Australia - England - USA, always recall the Vee-Jay 12" LP throwing him up against The Beatles, what more can I say they both made and idelible impact on world music during my life time.

Frank had one of the best and warm voices i've ever heard. I was about 5 or 6 years of age when I heard "I Remember You" and the " Yodelling song " . How spoilt we were in those days with the wonderful music on our records, and the marvellous shows that were common on ou little 19" B&W SETS OF THE PERIOD! Now its just an unmitigated mess!!!

I was sitting by the river Thames near Kingston on Thames bridge in Surrey UK in my lunch time listening to my small radio, when they announced that Frank Ifield had sold the incredible total of over 100, 000 copies of I Remember You in one day unheard of then in Uk alone. It went to number one. I later saw him on the same bill with the Everly Bros although there was only Phill, Frank Opened the show and practically stole it.

His was one of the stand-out voices when I was a kid. Despite being of the boomer generation who revered `pop bands' and scorned the crooners as passe, I was won over by the warmth and wide scale of his "I Remember You'. Thanks for his resume; he seems to have been a regular gent...

I remember my brother liking him he had one of his singles mmmm not my thing at all. My brother was 13 years older than me. I couldn't of been that old when listening to him. Another interesting story of someone who did a lot to nuture talent which is always a good thing

"I Remember You" has been one of my guilty pleasures since it's release in 1962, & after all these years I'm finally admitting it.

The vids on this channel are just superb. So much research and I keep waiting to catch them out but no...totally nailed. How about doing John Goodsall and Jim Dewar ? . Both seriously underrated and vital to 70's music.

Well done! He had quite the voice, and he inspired my Uncle to start yodelling. Not too sure that was a good thing lol. This is the first time I’ve seen pictures of him young! Great stuff my friend🤗

It is not well know but Frank Ifield preformed a duet with Johnnie Rotten, it was called "I remember you, you bastard"'.

In my opinion, once Frank no longer had Norrie Paramor to produce him, his career was in a downward spiral.
Don't get me wrong, I was a massive fan of his and was lucky enough to be given tickets to see him at the London Palladium, but the next time I saw him live was at Stoke Newington Town Hall a few years later. Frank and Norrie made a lot of great recordings together, but like I said, once Norrie was gone, so was Frank's chart success.
