growing up in the seventies and eighties, we took for granted the great music we grew up with, only when I look back now I can see we were surrounded by musical legends

Aaaah ❤ I loved Terry so much. He was so relevant during my early teen journey. I was so saddened when he passed. And what a gorgeous looking man he was.
Thank you Terry, for all your amazing songs. Rest peacefully Sir. God bless you. 🙏🏼🥰❤xxx

He was the sound of my early teens via the specials, I loved their songs - I was lucky enough to see him sing live literally months before he passed - it was a great night, and I am grateful to have heard the specials play live. I was saddened to hear he passed months later.

A true legend.

Got to see The Specials live in "80.
They were brilliant and is one of my favorite moments from my youth. As a young girl I was severely in love with Terry Hall, and wanted to just sit in the same room as him and just talk.
Deeply saddened by his passing, he will forever be Special to me.

Met him in gulson Rd. What a good bloke. I lived in Northfield Road and had no clue he was around the corner.

I met Terry at a man united game versus Queen’s Park rangers at the springbok pub on South Africa road, we bought each other drinks and shared stories about united games. A lovely and down to earth man. R.I.P.

Ghost town perfectly reflected the political and social situation of the times I was in my late teens when it was released and it still gives me chills- loved the Specials.

My mum was good friends with keren and Sarah from Bananarama. In the early 80s they used to take me to their flat where they was rehearsing as fun boy three with Terry Hall.
