0:55 yeah, I did that at first. Then I started with JustinGuitar yt series and got to implement that exact advice. There's an episode about "forcing" the change of chords that blew me away how it paid off almost instantly.

Just force yourself into a bit faster tempo than usually comfortable and force the fast change between chords, make keeping the strumming hand moving a point. Do not stop playing. You may fumble at first but you'll surprise yourself how fast you can switch shapes when you force yourself to do it.
