For me, Josh is just the best online bass teacher. I was on the BaseBuzz course about a year ago and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was just like having a (hilarious) friend who's teaching and motivating you all the time. I attended several courses (bass and guitar) but this one was by far the best. Haven't had so much fun learning since. Wish he would start another bass or guitar course. Highly recommended. Greetings from Hamburg!

Josh continues to deliver. All I can say is - DO IT! I picked up the bass for the first time (at age 62) just after New Years 2022 and began the Beginner to Badass journey one year ago this week! I really enjoyed it, played 30-45 minutes every day and worked through most of the course in a couple of months. Folks at church asked me to try out for worship team training shortly thereafter. After 4 months of practicing with the team every Thursday evening (with a great bass mentor coaching me between songs), I was on stage playing full services. I will be paying it forward this year coaching our newest bass player on the team. I'm on the schedule to be on stage 5 events this month and loving it. No way I could have done it that quickly and capably without the excellent, engaging and fun way Josh teaches you the bass (plus of course, lots of time practicing and regularly playing with other musicians and vocalists).

THANKS Josh. I've been a want- a- be player for most of my 67 years. With multiple stringed devices and professional players in the family. I'm a video engineer with a history of live sports productions and commercial production YEARS ago. You're ( in my opinion ) incredible with your presentation and style. great info with humor. I've pulled the gifted PBASS from the crowded closet. No luck needed just time and commitment between work gigs. Thanks again.

Josh, thank you so much. I've learnt more from you in 24 minutes than I have in 4 months from my music teacher.

Just started Bass 2 days ago. I am 57 and decided it was time to start following my dream of playing bass after I lost a close family member.. lesson learned that life is short, so don't wait for the right time! I have a cheap 2nd hand bass, and though not perfect, it's a starting point that wouldn't have happened if I had waited to get myself a new or better quality bass.
I love your videos and teaching style; easy, relaxed, and entertaining. Thank- you for the great free instruction, very much appreciated ❤️

Josh, I just wanted to share something awesome with you. I started taking bass lessons with an instructor locally (after finishing your beginner to bad ass course a few months back) and today was my first lesson. He had me do some some scale exercises to see my technique and he said, "I have the exact opposite problem that most of his students have and that I use my pinky a lot, almost too much." And I'm like GODDAMN RIGHT I DO! :D

i took his course as an absolute beginner (i played clarinet in the 4th grade, i don't think that really counts though) and it gave me a really nice foundation to be able to teach myself songs. i'm not usually a believer in online courses but I knew that he knew how to teach people when i saw that fretboard video he made, I was pretty sold @ that point and I'm glad I did it. i look at the course now like it's a tool and I believe it saved me a LOT of money. Without the course I probably would've given up

i highly recommend.

I immediately went to the description cuz this kind of stuff is NEVER free, but to my surprise there a whole 23 minutes single video full of pro tips. Bass players starting out are super lucky to have this kind of stuff. God bless Josh

Sooo, it’s been almost 8 weeks since a bought a bass and then fell and broke my wrist the same day! I’ve watched quite a few of your videos in that time, and enjoy your teaching style & humour. So tonight I bought the course! I’ll print off & organise stuff until my splint can come off in 4 days! Excited is an understatement 🤩🎸🤩

I just started playing bass a little under a year ago, and I was having to teach myself a lot, and kept failing. I almost quit for good. After finding these videos and realizing how simple it truly is and learning where I need to improve, I’m pumped and ready to get back at it, and even getting ready to teach others what I’ve learned! Thank you, Josh!!!

Even though I really want to blow through this one, I think I‘ll savor it this time and enjoy it longer. I make the mistake of doing this with all of your other videos, not this time though, because really, it makes the wait until the next video seem shorter. Thank you for uploading so consistently! It helps me more than any other channel on YouTube!

I'm halfway through the B2B course and still found all of this info fresh and useful. Every time I watch a BassBuzz video it makes me want to drop what I'm doing and pick up my bass. Great work Josh!! I appreciate your knowledge and teaching skills.

I have played guitar for 30+ years, semi seriously (in an amateur sense) since the late ‘90s, but had only dabbled at bass. I recently bought a Fender Jazz bass and committed myself to actually learning. I just wanted to say that your videos are amazing, Josh. You are the teacher I wish I had - I will be buying your course, because it’s obvious what a resource it will be be just from watching videos like this. You are one of the best music instructors I have ever seen, and at the same time your videos are hilarious and entertaining.

I don’t know if you edit these yourself, or if someone else does that, but kudos. I usually laugh out loud more than once while watching.
