i9-10850K (10core/20thread) is $320 at Micro Center
AMD Ryzen 5800X 8 core, 16 thread (~$399)
AMD Ryzen 5600X 6 core, 12 thread (~$300)
Ryzen 3600 is still best bang for the buck on AMD AM4, but shouldn’t pay more than $210 - AMD Ryzen 3600 6 core, 12 thread ($210)

Got a 5800x for $379.99 at microcenter over the weekend! Wanted a 5900x, but for that price I’m pretty pleased with my decision. Performance is still very very good after upgrading from an intel 2500k.

I bought that Teamgroup GX2 1TB 2.5” SATA SSD for around $75 last year from Newegg. I put it in a 10 year old HP laptop that my family uses for business work and finally upgraded it to Windows 10. It made a huge difference in loading time over the old Seagate 1tb hybrid drive and felt like a new laptop! They're not the fastest compared to Samsung, WD, etc but its a decent SSD for upgrading older PC's and laptops.

I purchased 2 of the EVGA 100-GD-0600-V1, 600 GD, 80+ Gold 600W off Amazon.ca for $60 CDN. The system would reset on mouse clicks and during Windows10 install. Both PS serial #s were in sequence meaning the same production run. Amazon sent out 2 replacements. One was delivered. The other replacement power supply was lost although it took me 45 mins on Amazon chat to finally get someone to admit the power supply was lost. The third one was supposedly shipped out today. Did I mention that one of the two G Skill memory from Newegg failed Memtest check? Never had so many frigging flakey parts. Mugen 5 cooler here is $82 stopped using it grossly overpriced.

I finally got an email from EVGA today that i was allowed to buy a "EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING" for close to RSRP, i'd been in the queue since September 2020... so happy i'll finally be upgrading from my 1080ti :-)
