Priscilla Presley cried while remembering her late ex-husband, Elvis Presley. The 78-year-old attended the Venice Film Festival on Monday for the premiere of "Priscilla," the Sofia Coppola film centered on her romance with the King of Rock & Roll. Priscilla spoke out during the film's press conference about how it felt to watch the movie. "Elvis would pour his heart out to me, his fears, his hopes, the loss of his mother which he never ever got over, and I was the person who really sat there to listen and to comfort him," she said. She also addressed their controversial age gap, as Elvis was 24 and Priscilla was 14 when they first met. "I was a little bit older in life than in numbers and that was the attraction. And you know, people think, 'Oh, it was sex.' Not at all. I never had sex with him. He was very kind, very soft, very loving. But he also respected the fact that I was only 14 years old. We were more in mind and thought. And that was our relationship," she revealed.

I hope that this is it. There is nothing else for her to say or tell about Elvis. Her Presley life finishes here. I have been an Elvis fan for over 60 years and I hope that he is now able to rest in peace. He was an incredible entertainer. He gave so much to his fans. He deserves a private life. The world didn't own him. He was a human being. Rest now Elvis and thank you.

Why Hollywood keep rehashing old stories? They cannot write a new story?

Does the ending include just how much money Priscilla has made off her EX-husband in the 46 years since his death? Does it include anything about the 22 year relationship she had with Marco Garibaldi, the father of her other child? Does it include her making him sign an NDA that prohibits him from writing a book about their relationship in the event of a break up or her death in the same way Priscilla wrote a book about Elvis? Did it include the part about Priscilla banning Linda Thompson from flying on the Lisa Marie to his funeral, the woman Elvis moved on with after his marriage and was his girlfriend for nearly the rest of his life, because Priscilla did not want to share the media spotlight with another woman Elvis loved just so Priscilla could start shaping the narrative of being the main woman in Elvis' life which is what she is still doing today. It's a narrative that unfortunately, only Elvis fans, know is not true.

The only reason I like to hear what she has to say or narrate about Elvis, is bacause I visualize her descriptions and wish they were true in the sake of Elvis. The beatifully described moments bring tears in my eyes not because of getting emotional, but because of sorrow and sadness. Elvis would have deserved all that and even much more. And it feels good to visualize him happy.... And then I get mad and visualize myself chocking her....

"The ending". The ending where the movie does not tell you that she is going straight to the arms of Mike Stone with whom she had been sharing a secret apartment for sex for months before she left Elvis.

It was a bit more acceptable back then. Girls were getting married at 14 & 15 in some states to older men. They were more mature back then and they looked older. At least that’s what remember. I had high school friends that had 2 or 3 kids by 16, 17 years old and they were more mature. Some of them looked like teachers!

Oh la la ! Encore elle ! Que serait elle sans Elvis ! Que devient son 2e fils ? Il faut tourner un film sur Jerry Lee Lewis qui a épousé sa cousine de 14 ans 😂

Yes, she was young but they were not sexually active. Also, many have affirmed that Elvis was extremely immature when they met in Germany. He suffered from arrested development both socially and emotionally, and he was not as mature as your typical 24-year-old. Priscilla even said that when she saw him again in the summer of 1962, he was a totally different person. He had matured into a confident, grown man, very much aware of his celebrity. As much as we condemn the age difference, Idk that the public falls in love with their love story as we did had Priscilla been a mature, grown woman. Part of the allure of this enviable love story is that you had this lovesick teenager (according to her) sitting at home pining for a man she could not yet be with. It’s the allure of forbidden love, which has endured the test of time since Romeo and Juliet. There is something captivating and mesmerizing about young love that is simply not present when it comes to more mature, experienced love affairs. There is not a woman in this world who did not want to be Priscilla Presley and have that romance. It was a different time, they were not having sex prior to marriage, her parents agreed to the arrangement, and girls got married very young in the 60s. In my day, in the 90s, you went to college to find a husband. In Priscilla‘s day, you went to high school to find a husband. Furthermore Priscilla moved to Graceland in March 1963. She turned 18 years old in May 1963. Girls were getting married fresh out of high school at that time. To condemn the relationship using today’s standards and apply those standards to a love affair that took place more than 60 years ago is grossly unfair.
