I pay cash for everything- no interest on credit cards. I buy used- especially my denim jeans- they are already broken in and fit better without the high price. If i don't have it to spend - i dont buy it. I purchase things i know will last. With my luggage- i put a ribbon on mine so i can identify it. I don't do drugs or drink. I make my lunch for work at home. I have absolutely no debt- except monthly bills like electricity and water. I have perfect credit and thats how i keep myself financially healthy incase of an emergency.
Ive been using sunscreen my whole life.

Subscribed at I quit drinking alcohol. Love it. Me too. 19 months ago. Best decision I ever made! Thanks for sharing.

Your luggage purchase reminds me of something my dad would say: only the rich can afford poor quality. :)

Agree 90%, nice wines, italian, french or spanish I can not give up. Not every day, but a nice glas of wine makes me relax and happy. No problem next morning by the way.😂

Great tips and advice. No alcohol, waste money on expensive skin care or brand name products saved me lot of money. Brands are for poor people.

You make some great points! I have had such bad experienced with Airbnb I also stopped using them. As far as buying a house, pre-2000 when houses rose 1-2% per year in price then not buying was a good idea. But now, with inflation and house prices rising 10-25% per year, buying a house is a good idea depending on location. But since we know Central banks are going to continue to print and cause more inflation, one has to seriously think about a house imo.

You can get dirt cheap serums through companies like The Ordinary these days. I use a retinol serum at night but also either niacinamide or squalene serum for day as well. One tip I heard from a derm on youtube is don't buy an eye cream just use your serum as long as it doesn't say avoid eye area-which it shouldn't if you're getting basically a single ingredient serum. 1 thing I kind of don't agree with is buying designer clothing: A) everything goes on clearance even mid level designer labels, I literally just got a $570 pair of sandals for $77. Plus B) these are items you will keep a very very long time not like fast fashion crap that wears out or you end up hating & has zero resale value so just ends up in landfill creating pollution-it's the same scenario with her suitcases.

Exactly you're much better off buying merchandise of high quality that will last for a very long time it's worth spending those extra dollars, then spending it on a bad bargain. I recently found your channel and enjoy your content can relate well to where you're coming from. I've been debating about relocating from Canada to the south of France. It's always held a special place in me. Life is too short to live with regrets. Have a great day and week ahead yourself.

Your drinking revelation isn't the only thing I got from your video. It's all great information. But, I wanted to say that I quit drinking ten years ago. I'm sixty-four and have saved probably $10, 000 or more over those years in liquor purchases! No hangover. No "fog". It also ages people. People usually guess my age to be fifty to 55 years old. YOU look much younger than fifty-eight! Healthy AND beautiful, BTW. Stress is a big factor in our lives, too. I think working out, eating healthy, having a happy mindset and being grateful all help. Longevity is in my family, like yours. Most all of my relatives live well into their late eighties and late nineties.
Thank you for these videos. I'm so happy you've figured out life. Wishing you many more great years ahead! 😊

Good for you! I could write a book on this stuff, your views are honest and spot on. I cannot afford to buy cheap either.

This video just showed up on my "Recommended"s and I'm glad it did! I moved to central Mexico from the U.S. almost a year ago in my 50s. I'm still trying to sort things out; not sure I'll stay where I am (mostly because the air quality where I am isn't the greatest and I already have bad allergies). But, there have been lots of positives including a more relaxed culture and time to think/feel and decompress. I look forward to watching more of your videos! Thank you

Thank you for explaining "missed opportunity cost" on purchasing labelled products. I hope that curbs my wayward impulse spending 😂❤

I’ve always said I would rather have $10k inside my $40 purse from Target.

If you travel and stay a month or two hotels can be expensive. Do you have experience renting furnished apartments? Your advice on skincare is spot on. I have purchased cheaper suitcases and yes, they fall apart. Also buying a colorful suitcase has a lesser chance of being stolen than a black suitcase that everyone else has. I enjoyed this thank you. You’re a wise woman.❤
