HELLDIVERS™ 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.

PLEASE READ...
1. I NEVER said the Developers BROKE the SAVES intentionally.
2. I'm Talking PATCH 01.001.002 which is the Escalation of Freedom Update, NOT the Hotfix.
3. I also said "I a lot of players have missed this, " saying that some know about it, some do not know about it.

To the devs: I'm not playing Helldivers because I want a milsim. I want explosions and big guns more shooting. Less running simulator. Less ragdoll simulator.

There was a post on Reddit showing a developer saying that the laser weapons catching on fire IS intended, but did not appear in the patch notes, because it was supposed to work in a previous version, but did not work in game until a bug fix in this patch.

The thing is, I understand why the guard dog rover not overheating is an issue since the regular scythe CAN overheat. It makes sense that the guard dog should too, but since it’s being addressed so close to the flamethrower nerf, it’s not going to go over well.

The guard dog has always gone back to your back to “cd” idk when this bug happened but yeah…

"People were on vacation" isnt an excuse. Its not like someone went "oh the boss is out. Im going to make all these changes without anyone knowing. " That's ridiculous.

"next summer will be different". Considering HD2 will likely be completely abandoned by all but 5k players, they're absolutely correct.

I don’t think the rover needs to be nerfed because the risk of it laser cutting your limbs off by accident is a downside enough.

Arrowhead making it really easy for everyone to move to drop HD2 for Space Marine 2.

1 day after they said they will look into their balancing approach the second time they announce another nerf XD.
Even if it's not working as intended the dog isn't even a viable stratagem in high level play

I really want to see a priority shift from balancing to bugs that have been affecting mob behavior... We still have bile titan issues that make them literally hit or miss

Isn't Warhammer 40k Darktide made with Bitsquid too? So was Shatterline (FTP shooter that sold out to a publisher known for scamming people) on Lumberyard, in fact quite a bit of games are still being developed in discontinued engines, which yes is a problem in terms of engine upgrades and development but other than that it isn't a problem. it just seems Arrowhead isn't as competent as we thought they were? a main reason some dev teams use discontinued engines is due to familiarity with the team and it seems to be this case here, it was the same with Halo Infinite and Slipspace, a lot of grievances with its development was due to most new hires which were not only unfamiliar with the engine but also were contract workers meaning a majority of their time was learning the engine rather then helping with development only to be let go because of the contract only for another unfamiliar dev to be hired and needed to be taught which isn't a complete comparison here but am pretty sure the reason why it seems bad that Arrowhead used bitsquid here is due to them being incompetent and still somewhat overwhelmed with the game's original success

TLDR: The engine isn't the problem am pretty sure, its just Arrowhead is incompetent in development

The Autodesk Stingray engine is an old issue, literally known when the game came out. And it wasn't discontinued when they began development, it got discontinued a few years into dev process and they had a tough decision to make. They're open about this. They said they decided to bite the bullet and continue with work for like 2 more years and release a product rather than start over on another engine.
